The Meta as of Patch 25.0.3 (Premium HSReplay Stats)

The statistics below are preliminary and to truly see the outcome of the release of March of the Lich King as well as yesterday’s patch we must be patient. This however may be an indicator of what we can expect. I see a lot of claims that certain classes are immensely popular and also possess high winrates (higher than winrates ought to be). Hopefully this information can better give us an idea as to the actual popularity of decks. This can help to better understand what exactly is going on as of now. I will include the list of the current meta as well as deck popularity. These statistics are derived from diamond through legend.

So the strongest decks aren’t even the ones being complained about? Wow. Surprised to see pure pally there.

Is it possible to see total games played? I barely see any aggro these days. This morning has been Deathrattle rogue and DK mirrors. I haven’t seen a single big spell mage since Dec 6, nor any curse warlocks or shamans.

What I find is it depends highly on what rank you’re playing at. Moreover, with the recent changes things are kind of up in the air until everything settles. As for total games played these decks listed are basically the most popular decks per class. I could find specifically games played if for example I clicked on “Decks” and sorted the class’s decks by games played. Honestly there’s no need and I’d rather not have to venture through dozens of decks to take screenshots and upload them. :stuck_out_tongue:

Someone let SgtCreamSoda know that Paladin is actually good, as we tried to tell him, and that his doom and gloom over Paladin was grossly unjustified.

I’m playing blood pure pally and it’s strong. Dk is a pain in the a s s to deal with

Thank God I left Ranked.

that Pure Paladin list is Pure **** but okay
like it’s another one of those “5 people did well with an obscure deck and messed with the stats” situation

lol It’s Tier 1 right now

And Silverhand Paladin is right behind it. And Control Paladin and then Dragon Paladin

So you have:
Paladin Tier 1 deck
Paladin Tier 2 deck
Paladin Tier 2 deck
Paladin Tier 3 deck

At this point, if you’re complaining about Paladin not being good, what you really want is Paladin to be broken.

I’m not saying Paladin isn’t good, I’m saying Pure Paladin (or at least that list) isn’t good because it’s another flash in the pan screenshot.
It has less then like 500 games played, that can’t be an accurate assessment.

5,479 games…is that not enough for you?

Dude you’re such a whiner. I’m playing similar list and I’m destroying people. Currently d2 climbing to legend

Pure pally is very strong.

Dragon paladin ended up kinda trash and s
Too slow for me.

damn… and here i was with my dr rogue list doing fine and was thinking i was a snowflake when it seems that there are a lot more people playing it!
Oh noes… anyways…

lol, there exactly 1 card difference in the hs list compared to mine… the horror!

So interesting enough all the t1 decks are low sample, ie not being played, compared to everything else.

That means whoever runs hsreplay has phoned it in, they are saying decks that don’t see play are better than those that don’t.

in low count matches, like those 1k you see in t1-2, the variance is way too high for them to be taken in face value.

you’d need a sample of at least like 5k (imo always) to start drawing real conclusions.

I’m VERY impressed to see ramp druid at the low end of tier 3

Honestly I’d wager that the decks listed in this tier list have been determined through more than 5000 matches.

Edit: Forgive me if I am misunderstanding your comment.

Pure Paladin has over 5k games
Imp Warlock has over 8k
DR Rogue over 10k

Those are legit decks

I started running the big spell this morning. If you want low sample size i got you covered. 4-2. But that one druid was probably crapping his pants. I had him down to 9. Then he devoured my board and killed me with lots of stuff.

I’ve seen the big spell mage deck about 3 times and beat it everytime.

One thing I do not understand from it is why it runs the Far Watch Post AND Barbaric Sorceress. It’s such bad synergy.

A mage made my 8 cost spells cost 10 because he played both on turn 2 and 3 and then later on he played his taunt minion to switch costs and it hurt him.

You’re increasing the mana cost of the opponent’s spells and thus making the Sorceress hit worse tempo.
