The match up system is so rigged, not even funny

Telling someone they suck is not gaslighting.

Telling someone they lack the knowledge to understand why they are wrong is not gaslighting.

Arena proves the game is not rigged. If it was so rigged the bots would never get a god draft no matter how many times they retire drafts because bots never spend money and therefor the rigging would never tilt positive towards them. Also those bots that do somehow cheat the system and get a god draft would never queue into real players because again they don’t spend money and thus will be paired against other bots. Explain why these bots don’t get rigged by the rigging AI.

And it wasn’t gaslighting, it was people not understanding the specific language that was used.

It was a general statement rather than a specific attack, and people then had millennial meltdown and started flinging “gaslighting” around like snowflakes.

The game is not rigged in the way you are suggesting.

Here’s how it works according to Blizzard:

At the end of each month, players are assigned a star multiplier based on their finishing rank. That multiplier can be adjusted up in some cases where a player finishes with a low rank but maintains a very high MMR. That star multiplier allows players to advance through the lower ranks more quickly, moving them up to a rank at which they meet comparable competition to their skill level. The star multiplier decays by 1 at each rank floor (B5, S10, S5, G10, etc) until the player eventually earns only 1 star per win. (Note that the 3 game win streak double-bonus is completely independent of the multiplier feature.)

While you still have a star multiplier, you will be matched against other players based on your MMR. This endeavors to match people with similar skill levels. Once your star multiplier has decayed all the way down to 1, you are matched by your Rank. And when you are in Legend, you are again matched by MMR. Casual mode players are matched by MMR.

The matchmaking system does not look at your deck composition or your win/loss streak or if you are a paying player or if you put on clean underwear this morning. It looks at your MMR and your Rank. That’s all.

If anyone has a statistically relevant body of data of sufficient sample size that might suggest otherwise, they are welcome to post it.

The fact is that you are wrong. Simple. Plain. Obvious.

Gaslighting is not a passing comment in a meaningless game forum, and every time you use it in a context like this you weaken the word’s impact in situations when it is actually relevant. It’s disrespectful to people who are actually in abusive relationships for you to just toss it out everytime you disagree with someone else’s interpretations of the situation.

Calling something that small gaslighting is childish and weak minded. It isn’t gaslighting.

It’s not an opinion that you’re using the word incorrectly.

Maybe when you move out of the basement you will understand.

I hate boomers just as much as the next guy, but I am not one.

This is just you gaslighting yourself that you’re right. We don’t disagree, you’re just wrong.

And of course you’re a cat person.

Just like you.

You’re inability to comprehend does not render something irrational.

Stop trying to gaslight us, person. It’s not right and you know it.

And this is the end result: lack of real substantive reasons why the patent isn’t being used, just a ton of personal attacks and defense of scummy mega corps and outright criminal behavior.

Not really compelling, especially when weighted against the plain wording of the patent. Then the fact they have it renewed through 2035, and of course, everything we’ve seen in games up to diablow.

Numerous admissions from their side that it’s being used in hearthstone…just not THAT way. And while some will insist it’s “MUH COD patent” note what the company literally stated themselves on this subject (wanted to give the deniers multiple opportunities to come clean about it, but it didn’t happen):

“While aspects of the invention may be described herein with reference to various game levels or modes, characters, roles, game items, etc. associated with a First-Person-Shooter (FPS) game, it should be appreciated that any such examples are for illustrative purposes only, and are not intended to be limiting. The matchmaking system and method described in detail herein may be used in any genre of multiplayer video game, without limitation”

And remember, this is from people who claimed to have read and understood the patent. Yet continued to lie and claim it was only for cod.

peopel havent been able to find a reason for them to even use the patent as the tinfoil club members seem to think
is impossible to be matched on a CCG vs decks with cards you dont own without it …
of course they ve been unable to explain why

and i cant tell they are lying about it being applied because so far whenever asked why should believe is being used all they have is

“because i say so !”
you should ask to whoever told you its being used to provide a source
youll notice they wont post a single one

Money. This was covered already. I mean, they literally state this IN the patent!

Now that is something the deniers have been pretty consistent on. “They just can’t…OK!” then jump to

or some other ad hominem instead of pointing to something direct from the patent.

Literally what the deniers default to whenever confronted with the plain wording of the patent.

Again, false. Note, for all those paying attention the numerous direct quotes from the patent. Contrasted with the numerous lies from the deniers about the very same.

In fact, as already mentioned, only the destiny 2 community manager stated it wasn’t being used in THEIR game during their brief partnership with actiblizz.

All’s the deniers have is insults and the hope you won’t actually read the patent. Because when you do, and see how it has been employed (especially in diablow), you can’t help but see their house of cards come tumbling down.

we know the patent exist but someone told you the patent is being used without proof and you beleived it

you have to learn to ask for sources

but its true the people who keep bringing up the patent when talking about HS been completely unable to explain why is needed to get people matched vs players with better decks something that mmr matchmaking would do anyway over time there is now way to avoid it

and because of this they have no way to explain why would they need to apply it on HS at all

and with sites like VS HSreplay or reddit subs the have all the visibility for the best cards to get for free

Looks like you’re account sharing again

And more lies from the deniers. Because the matchmaking patent and its use has been documented and reported on since it’s filing.

And it’s interesting someone told you the patent isn’t being used and you without proof and you believed it…you have to stop being one sided in your “MUH SOURCES”

from someone who never asks a pro company poster for a source.

False, and now confirmed that you are engaging in willful fraud:

scroll up for the others.

And it looks like you were told the patent wasn’t being used without proof (in spite of years of reporting on this very subject by new outlets, etc) and you believed it…looks like you should be less one sided in your “MUH SOURCES.”

i get it

you were told the patent cant be filed if isnt being used on HS…(you keep bringing up it was filed as proof is being used )

no isnt requeriment … google a little and youll cofirm you dont need to be using it to patent it

you are way too willing to believe everything people told you didnt you think " money " isnt reason enough to explain it ?

what do you think is cheaper a mmr /rankiong matchmaking

or a code they would need to update with every card release?

didnt you notice these guys never werer able to explain why do they think they same goal cant be achieved in HS with mmr?

i asked that question several times and nobody been able to answer

And I didn’t. What I said was

Whether or not that is or is not a condition that applies to the OP is not something I made any comment on.

Neon is absolutely correct here. Yes, I know Mal is old, I still think “millennial meltdown” is appropriate.

Hmm. Reading this does make me wonder if this earlier post…

…was perhaps unwise. In it I’m pretty much accepting the weaker “passing comment” definition of gaslighting, and while I do make a reference to the more nefarious kind of psychological abuse, it was merely a reference and didn’t give the subject its full due. I might not have communicated what I mean clearly here.

Unless you can provide direct quotes, admit you are posting false information on the forums.

Unlike the direct quotes from the patent that have been provided, and the numerous examples from recent games like diablow that have made the news.

This is a bad analogy, but it does explain your thinking. The reason it’s bad is that I did NOT say “not losing to plague DKs is easy for Sludge Warlocks who don’t suck.” I said that it’s an even matchup. I think it’s ridiculous to infer from “even matchup” that you should win every single game. In contrast it is not ridiculous to infer from your example that bakers who don’t suck never burn any loaves of banana bread.

its obvious all you keep repeating …as if you were stuck in a loop is "patent patent " and thats it because you werent told more than just the patent exist and without proof you were told its was applied
because if you asked or found any sources to verify what you were told you wouldve posted them by now

instead you are stuck in a loop
