Well, there is no need to nerf priest now to be honest. Druid can be dumping out 5/5s or more on turn 3. Rogue can have 10+ mana of minions on turn 1-2. Hunter can do 60+ damage on turn 6. It is pretty amusing that they have been talking about bringing down power levels and we have the most polarizing game styles in a very long time. Opening hands/mulligans can completely decide games on turns 1-4.
To elaborate, rogue can literally have 16 mana of value by turn 2.
I feel like in a drag race with this ccg now it’s like who can reach the end the fastest, it’s crazy, why has the devs’ HS fallen this far? Most decks rush opponents down before they can do busted OTK or combo before you.
I honestly do not believe any real internal testing happens anymore. We are literally beta testing every set when it releases.
I’m starting to feel the same way. Anyone could have seen half the stuff you could see coming a mile away in the current meta before the release of was tested right with current sets in the standard or wild.
I am starting to feel that they test, but they probably play at high ranks and overestimate the abilities of their audience. They should hire a tester with IQ lower than 100 and ask him about ideas like creating combos that are very easy to perform if he is able to counter smth like that. Then they will see smth like playing Dirty Rat on the turn 2 and / or without having smth to remove a minion. Then they will stop printing cards like Zarimi and Plush.
