I honestly think it’s a cool and interesting spin on Big Spell in standard to run Renathal and play more value heavy endgame options.
But, copying 30 dmg to face and full boards 2, 3 or even 4 times is where I think we draw the line. The deck already doesn’t struggle to find value/ending into the late game, using audio splitter AND conman at no cost to the deck to replay their version of CNE, is really just awful to verse.
I mean, the card was already borderline unplayable in a competitive deck prior to Skyla, and it wasn’t even particularly crazy after it until Renathal showed up.
It’s a good finisher, but it’s not like there aren’t a ton of those around that require considerably less work than the theoretical 30 damage orbs do to get going.
Orb (and chaining them) is kind of the right kind of inevitability to be in the game. Long term setup, generally not an OTK, but effective at closing out games against decks that are just trying to stall forever.

… i know time warp and zarimi needed it because of the extra turn but now people want to slap that text on any card they lose to
Tbh, I hate the early Tsunamis a lot more than late game orbs. By the time orb repeats are happening, everyone is doing crazy stuff so it doesn’t feel that bad.

Orb is Fine. Tsunami needs to have the buff reverted is all we need.
Yup orb is fine and with fizzle and latw game reno decks it ks hard to pull off turn after turn of orb cause of reno and copies of reno. I mean ya can but it would be a waste of a conman to play it aftwr reno
This would delete the archetype entirely. The old tsunami is actually trash.
If we are leaving power levels the same in everything else, the deck doesn’t need a nerf at all. At most you’d move king tide to 5 Mana.
Who called that and was called dumb?
Exactly me.
