No, its not. You have to craft one, or wait until rotation. You are locked out of wild unless YOU decide to play it. And if you make that decision, its on you. No reason to change.
Nonsense. I have never crafted anything from wild and I was playing it before I completed the tutorial stage of Hearthstone.
I guess I got something from an achievement; or from a single player story; also I heard the tavern brawl unlocks it.

BS. You cant unlock wild until you have a wild card in your collection.
Wild cards are NOT a part of any rewards.
You intentionally went to wild, got stomped, and now have an agenda to get format removed.
Too bad, so sad. Wild is fine as is. You made a poor choice.

The need to lie about people, combined with the need to call people animals, truly a psychological problem you can only solve yourself.

Dont like it, dont play it.
The only suggestion I liked in the entire thread was that Wild prizes ought to be wild only. No standard packs or any random cards being standard prizes.
But this would make the incentive they have built in for people that play wild to continue to play other modes like standard which is their money maker. So while I like the idea, I dont see it as being a viable tradeoff for the company to implement.
Wild is fine the way it is otherwise, it is clearly labelled as a mode where “anything goes”* so its clearly akin to a “Enter at your own risk” type scenario.
If they wanted to gear players to play more standard over Wild, then simply giving half the prizes for climbing wild instead of Standard ought to be enough to do so. I know that idea wont fly well with some players but the idea itself for the goal proposed is a sound one.
*With minimal card bans.
albeit I could use a better phrase than “phase out” for that since phase out might imply deletion.
Not much of a strawman as that is what you said. Adjust your pitch accordingly.

It’s a complex part of this context, because at first I thought it’s a good anti-incentive if they give only Wild packs (and possibly the rares and epics of the rewards being Wild only too); but then I realized that promotes Wild too; that’s because it gives EVEN MORE wild cards to people so they’d have even more of an incentive to play it.
However it’s still an indirect promotion of Standard if it gives Wild cards; that’s because people will start promoting to other players “don’t play that too much because you may rank higher than Standard and then you’ll lose the Standard packs and you’ll get random Wild cards that are often unusable” so I don’t know.
