This card has way too much manna to cheat 3 legendaries for 0 costs what was blizzard thinking. This should make the cost maybe 3 or 4 less to play not 0 because that is the problem hearthstone manna cheat and power creep.
It still does not matter when you can manna cheat so much for 0 costs even if have used 6 manna it is still too much manna creep. When dropping over 10 manna in one turn and Blizzard is going too far with this cards now.
This is one of the worst takes I’ve seen in a while. The cost is that you have to 1) only play Paladin cards; 2) play a glorified war golem; and 3) pay 2 mana for each invitation. You counter it by running removal in your deck. Countess is a strong card, but she’s needed to push the pure Paladin archetype and is nowhere near as broken as legitimately problematic cards in the game.
Countess (or lightray, or cariel minion, or that 3/1 that draws+discounts a spell for the turn, etc) is just how paladins do it. One might even count buffs/handbuffs as a kind of mana cheat as instead of making minions cheaper in cost, paladin gives them more stats for the same mana costs.
Countess can be very explosive (and if paladin highrolls they could get a second countess off the 2/4 taunt that discovers a pally card), but consider that pure paladin and the paladin class in general kind of have to be explosive so they can win board and hit face, as the paladin class doesn’t have many other fancy ways to win games (no spell nukes, no curses, no ramping to 20 mana so you do some big brann+battlecry, etc)
Which are good cards. If this was priest or warrior, it would be an issue. Pure paladin isn’t a limitation in any real sense with the strength of their kit.
Gee, is it okay if I play it after the free taunt that makes it fine?
lol, right after you play the second free taunt, fill the board with legos, and then lol.
I mean, for real, the only reason this deck hasn’t taken over was the speed of the broken aggro.
Slower does not equal less broken. It’s still broken.
Playing pure paladin means you can’t include xards like astslor in your deck and other good neutral cards. And she is 7 mana 7/7 do nothing so you can’t afford to play her if you don’t have some board control.
She is completely fine. Pure paladin needs a win con if he is giving up on playing neutral cards.
Four things to consider, in no particular order:
—-
1.) Countess’ invitations cost two mana. They are not free.
—-
2.) The pool of legendary minions is large, and so it is not uncommon to find subpar minions and minions not suitable to the situation.
—-
3.) Countess’ effect is conditional. It can only work if your deck is pure (only paladin cards).
—-
4.) Lastly, Countess is a win condition and should be powerful (potentially very powerful). It is necessary for paladin to have.
Countess is a win condition.
Totaly agree. F those bs trashbags in the reply section who actually have her and abuse her and defend her so they can continue to make newbies and even pro players surender immediately when they spawn 3 legendaries each with some ridiculous stats like taunt with 5/12, have 3 of those for *6 mana… that is OVER POWERED AS FKKKKKKK
I agree and I rather think of this elemental-beast or Order in the court that needs a nerf than countless, because playing them early can be sometimes pretty challenging and then Countless on top is just overkill.
Maybe order in the court, if we consider that Polkelt was a legendary card that could be played on t4 or t3 with coin…
