That Warrior bomb deck

Just played against my first warrior bomb deck and wow, wow wow wow wow WOW, I can see why people think it’s awful. Unless you’re gonna bum rush em to death with a lot of aggro or you’re not playing Warlock, they just casually stuff like 25+ damage worth of bombs into your deck and then BM hardcore.

I’ve been having fun with it but it’s long way from OP, especially now that it’s been out a few days and people are learning how to counter it. Token druid spanks bomb warrior like an unwanted stepchild and token druid is actually the top deck right now according to HSReplay.

curious as how your are just now running into bomb warrior.

I just Haven’t been playing as much since the new rotation nuked a lot of my good decks by HoFing a lot of Kobolds and Catacombs cards. I’ve just been getting into it for the free card packs and stuff

Bomb warrior gets destroyed by mech hunter and big mage.Priest as well.

^ What Lafiel said. You just need to play threat after thread to overload their removals

Same here. Though I’ve been playing a lot of of zoo warlock (with witch’s cauldron, very fun), so a lot of warriors die before I figure out what they are.

Also haven’t seen many token druids, despite all the complaining. Guess they’re staying out of casual.

There are counters, but it’s something I dislike, where we’re settling into a meta where you realize your deck (or even class) simply can’t beat certain decks no matter how much you refine it and the meta gets trimmed down to a handful of decks that have the combos and counters and we’re back to rock paper scissors.

Priest and Warrior in particular have very limited viable deck options. If you play Warrior now, you play control. If you play Priest, you play Rez.

Dude.

Seriously.

No one has even had time to refine one deck in a given class. Bomb warrior has already shifted from pure control, to tempo, to some amagalmation between.

You literally have no idea what is viable and what isnt. Rez priest and silence priest have received the most attention so far, so the most work refining has gone there. That means nothing about whether or not other priest decks would work.

I see we all forget that new decks still show up even weeks before the next expansion hits. Healzoo was not a day 1 deck. Wall priest was not a day 1 deck. Beast hunter (in its top form, which was very different) was not a day 1 deck.

Your feelings are extremely silly. Go try something new. If it gets smashed? Start making changes to improve the matchup that smashed you. That’s called refining a deck and it’s the only way we ever find new lists.

These were refinement of an existing deck, not creating a new one.

Imagine if a deck is already strong right now then what a monster it would become at the end of the expansion after all those refinements.

A deck is weak right now can become stronger in the future. But an OP deck at the beginning of an expac will never reduce its power level.

Are you suggesting that regulat zoo was a meta dominate force at the start of that expansion?

Because that’s the point here. Wall priest did not exist in a meta relevant way at the start of rumble. None of those did. edit: none of those were in the expansions they formed in Refinement made them relevant later, when people were looking for new decks to play.

I’m really hoping this is a communication gap related to the point and not an actual declaration that wall priest was tier 1 day 1. Because we can shoot that down.

Token Druid is actually only slightly favored vs Bomb Warrior. If you really want to stomp Bomb Warrior you need to go with Mech Paladin, Mech Hunter, or Kadgar Dragon Mage.

After reading through a bit of this thread to see some counter decks against bomb warrior, I’ll try experimenting with those cause the first bomb warrior I went against completely caught me off gaurd with how easy it was to fill my deck. I didn’t even know there was a weapon that put a bomb into my deck whenever he attacked so you could imagine my shock when he whipped that bad boy out and buffed it.
