The past few times i have played Tess in Battlegrounds, I never play anyone with my minion type. For example, there were two people playing beasts my last game which is what I was playing. I never fought either of them the entire game. The previous one i was going Elementals. Same thing. Two others were playing Elementals but i never played them. Is anyone else experiencing the same thing or is it just terrible luck?
With Tess you need to adjust your tribe to what’s being played most. (unless ofcourse you’re that lucky the tavern offers you a lot of the same minions of a specific tribe)

Tess is useful even when you don’t care about their opponent. They may have an extremely buffed Mech that just works anywhere slightly better than any other minion. Or they may have a golden neutral level 5 etc.
In the latest season Tess is a monster in quilboar lobbies

And can’t she give golden minions to get the reward?
Mid Tier hero that is okay to take if there’s nothing better. The HP is all but useless in the early game unless you want to play unoptimized.
