Tempo Mage inspired by Altair's deck

I’m not happy ATM with the 1 drop but it seems like the best. Snake Oil is counter intuitive to the deck because you want the 4 drop to draw you the buff spells or pull the buffed amalgam back to hand. Ideas for another 1 that would synergize well are welcome.

Play to the board then start buffing away or Geyser to remove. They all reduce the cost of Shanty that you can tutor with the 4 drop while the Artist pulls the Tsunami’s and starts reducing them. You can just keep creating fat boards one after another.

Have fun and comment on more ideas. Maybe come up with something new to play in this stale meta. Current record 19-11.

I hate that card, I replaced it with Salesman after 2 games

I don’t think drawing snake oil is an issue at all, it’s always useful for card draw or even to get procced with Skyla

Yes, in theory xD In practice, not a single game went as expected xD

Too many high-cost cards feeling clunky in my hand, especially in the mid-game (turns 4-7)

However, once you start rolling those spells, you’re winning

2-3 so far xD Definitely better than I expected, but not quite what I imagine it could be

I definitely agree with the direction of your thoughts - since Rogue as a tourist was nerfed to the ground, and since Pally is the king of the board, Pally tourist cards seem to be a natural next step (especially considering Service Ace can discount stuff, too). I think there could be something tempo related with this early game but finish different than Sif or BSM packages, but I don’t know where to begin searching.

Whoever finds it, though, will dominate their part of the ladder with ease, judging by the little we saw of its strength in our decks xD

EDIT: I’m thinking, somehow, elemental + pally tourist packages combined, mostly because Sanc’azel is so strong and it’s an elemental

I actually had that elemental in to start and moved away because of cost. I think i am going to revisit the elemental package. There has to be some kind of tempo deck that remains with those paladin cards. Maybe after rotation it will be better.
