Just out of curiosity everyone, what actually contributes the most to experience gains in the tavern pass from player actions?

I’ve been looking at the returns (with bonuses from the pass of course) and the only viable experience gain option i’ve seen is long matches where the most cards are played and minions destroyed etc or it at least seems like it.

So first question asked, the next is simply; does anyone know how experience points gains are calculated?

edit: questions are because i’ve only recently returned too the game (4 weeks prior to titans dropping) so I am missing a lot of standard cards and a lot of epics that make the classes fun, so I want the higher end pass gold rewards for packs.

To my knowledge, only 3 way to earn XP

  • Quests (daily and weekly)
  • Achievements
  • playing the game (ladder, mercenaries, etc…)

If you religiously complete all quests, you will easily collect 2k gold per month.

If you buy the tavern pass for XP boost, you might be doing 3k gold a month.

Time played up to 30 mins per game. Winner earns more. Nothing else (cards played/actions made) matters. 400 exp cap per hour in ranked.

Swampface is 100% on the mark here. It is a time based system with a limit. The limit is relaxed in BG’s though so you can technically get more than 400. I’ve never done it but it’s theoretically possible.

It is somewhere in the wiki (or at least it was).

400 XP/h played* on average. In my experience +15% if you win, 0.85 if you lose, of those 400.

The quest and achievement part above is correct of course.

  • “Played” in ranked modes. In unranked slightly less ( I don’t know how much less)

Alright guys thanks, I am a little disappointed there is no trick too it haha but at least I know now.

Im completely out of dust and things too decon that won’t result in a value loss to the classes I play lol

Well … there is a trick if you want to call it that.

I don’t know if you know, but you can use the Mercenaries XP farm “exploit” to get Tavern Pass XP while “afk-ing”. I have done it and i reached Level 100 of the Tavern Pass today.
