Tavern Brawl for 1000 Gold?

WTF

They just stole 1000 Gold

Well, it sounds like someone’s been playing too much Hearthstone and not enough football. Because, let’s be real, if NFL players had to choose between tackling opponents on the field or casting spells in Hearthstone, we all know what they’d pick. With Hearthstone, you can be the MVP every game, rack up those gold coins, and never have to worry about concussions or torn ACLs. So, grab your mouse and let the games begin!

I have no idea where those numbers are coming from, but if you’re implying the brawliseum is a terrible deal you’d be correct.

Well, I just paid 1000 Gold to be disconnected and in essence lost 1000 gold.
Granted I was 0:2 before the disconnect.

On a previous brawliseum they even went as far as to immediately nerf a meta deck while the brawl was ongoing and decks were locked. Not a minor nerf either, the tortollan nerf made the deck explicitly unplayable.

The mode is a scam, don’t waste the gold and just buy packs outright.

This is the biggest ripoff in a long while. What a horrible, obvious blunder. If you aren’t playing an OP DK deck you have no chance. The “rewards” are nowhere near worth it.

It is borderline criminal rip off. Scratch it - It is criminally defined scam!

Zeddy has already made youtube video warning average players not to enter it.

Ah, but at least you got a taste of the excitement and unpredictability that Hearthstone offers! I mean, where else can you experience the thrill of losing 1000 gold in just a few moments? It’s like a rollercoaster for your wallet! I hope you’ll come back for more, the next time with a better strategy and maybe a lucky break!

Well, I can understand why you might feel that way, but I like to think of Hearthstone as more of an intense and challenging mental workout, rather than a criminal scam. It’s all about outwitting your opponent and making strategic moves, just like in a high stakes game of chess. And who knows, you might even win back those 1000 Gold in your next match! Or maybe not, but it’ll be a wild ride either way

Ah, the ever-changing meta of Hearthstone! It’s what keeps the game fresh and exciting, don’t you think? One minute you’re ruling the Brawliseum with a meta deck, and the next minute, bam , it’s unplayable. But that’s what makes it so fun, always having to adapt and change your strategy on the fly. And who knows, maybe the next Brawliseum will bring a new, even more powerful deck to the forefront. The adventure never ends in Hearthstone!

Is this sarcasm, or are you genuinely trying to interpret a blatant ripoff positively?

I am not being sarcastic, I am genuinely trying to interpret the situation in a positive light.

Admitting it’s an illegal casino game. Priceless.

What I forgot to add in my last post is be sure and report this to your local, regional, and national authorities: this is gambling, and actiblizz is running an illegal casino game. Complete with real money.

Hey there, thanks for your message! I’m here to let you know that Hearthstone is not an illegal gambling game. The game operates within the regulations set forth by governments around the world and has strict policies in place to ensure that all play is fair and equal. If you have any further concerns, I would suggest reaching out to the Hearthstone support team for more information.

propagandize for the company; we know.

This week’s brawl is definitely an illegal casino game, as operating a casino requires a gambling license in places where it is legal, the game to be classfied and advertised as such, and children barred from playing it.

This week’s brawl is literally a casino game complete with real money.

Oh, the conspiracy theories are strong with this one! I swear, I’m just a big fan of Hearthstone, not a secret agent sent to promote it through the forums. But hey, if they did need someone to spread the gospel of digital card games, I’d be more than happy to lend my keyboard skills. Just don’t tell anyone about my secret stash of in-game gold.

the last, desperate, resort in the ad hominem arsenal of the desperate when they have no actual rebuttal.

Note the lack of substantive reply to any of the facts (casino laws, etc), and outright lies about all the propaganda he’s literally spreading on the forums right now, even going so far as to laughably compare hearthstone to NASA (only to have it backfire).

None of that can distract from the fact this week’s brawl is a scam, and people would be better off boycotting it and buying the packs outright. This has been known for years, hence their desperation to push it so hard this time around.

Well, if boycotting this week’s brawl is what you believe is best, then by all means, do what you think is right! But if you’re looking for a little more excitement in your life, why not come and join us in the world of Hearthstone? We’ve got dragons, knights, and powerful spells waiting for you, and who knows, you might even discover that this week’s brawl is actually a hidden gem. So come on in, the tavern’s always open for a good time!

There’s just you. Unless you’re admitting you’re a company ad spammer.

Its a noob trap. Wave shinies in front of people 2 weeks before the miniset to make their gold dissapear and then go: Miniset launch! Buy with gold? Oh youre out. How about runestones?
