Swftscale trickster is the most OP card ever

Maybe maybe not. I remember the complain threads, when glide was announced. Somehow there was never a reason to nerf it.

I could see this card being an absolute menace in Wild, especially with Vanish, but not sure it’ll have the same effect in Standard. I think on average the best outcome in Standard is a 4 drop that cheats Sprint. Don’t get me wrong, that’s still a really powerful effect, but it’s be like using Prep + Sprint with a 2/2 body attached. Maybe it sees play in Pirate Rogue to cheat the Azsharan Vessel a turn early? That’s 4 solid targets you could put in a deck. I still don’t see Smokescreen as playable because of the lack of Rogue DR and the fact that it’s unplayable without this minion cheating it out. Right now, it’s not super scary imo, but every expensive Rogue spell for the next 2 years can pair with this minion for a potential combo. That’s something to watch for.

If rogue can find the survivability, Tricksters and Smokescreen/Sprint become a finisher for Garrote Poison Rogue. After Scabbs, that is a 6 mana draw 8-10 cards.

I mean there’s Mistress of Mixtures and Hero Scabbs for some survivability. Outside of that, it gets kind of iffy.

We have known for awhile now the people who make the cards don’t play the game. They just throw out cards that sound good without knowing anything about interactions in the game it’s self

Rogue gets henchclan thug back, which has always been a very strong card for rogue. Rogue should not have issue keeping up the tempo. Swiftscale can be a strong card but you do need a very good 6 cost spell to be worth it. Its still slower then the 0 mana reduce spell with 3. I dont think this card will become an issue unless rogue gets a very strong expensive spell.

that doesn’t mean glide isnt too good, as is Secret passage and a few others.
Were they mage cards they would have been nerfed the day after release.
I havent seen the new card the op is talking about, but I doubt it is any better than a reduced Enrich drawing three cards for one mana, or fungal fortune being reduced to zero.
I don’t ever want to see another thread about how much mana cheat mages have(had).
The hypocrisy is sickening.
Anyhow; I doubt this card is all that and if it is, Rogue is one of the classes that get nerfed, unlike some others.

Mal, to put it in Mage terms. It is a 4 mana 2/2 Dragoncaster without the dragon requirement.

That sounds amazing. It will probably get nerfed. Rogue usually does.

It’s not OP per say since the most expensive Rogue spells are mostly removal and card draw, which this class really needs and other classes can do better for less mana. But this limits so much design space. Should at most reduce the cost by 5 so as to not make printing high mana spells for Rogue impossible in the future.
