This wasn’t true the last time I looked.
He’s fairly low on the list. He’s in the bottom 50%. Here are the various card winrates for Holy Paladin.

You data hoes seem to forget a serious data point.
Fun.
It’s AMAZING how many of you liars and hypocrites have attacked me directly in this thread when there are A LOT of other Mr. Smite hate threads.
Then you come here and try and gaslight me like I’m the crazy one?
I don’t think so son.
People don’t like Smite and they definetly don’t like a 30 attack Smite going face from hand.
People don’t like CHARGE.
STOP with the gaslighting.
STOP making FREQUENCY the determining factor for FUN.
I don’t care HOW often it does or doesn’t occur.
You would make an excellent politician.
Nah, people love charge
Or nuking with spells (or just direct damage in general a la mecha shark, ping, etc), thus all the mages from the past
Or hunters being just… hunters
Or DH doing the same
Or curses even though curselock is kinda bad people still play it
Or priests doing that shellfish xyrella mill thing
People love doing things that make the opponent rage and salty
Now of course if you’re on the receiving end it isn’t so fun, but you just BM the guy and move on, and hope that next game it’s you who makes the opponent BM.
I’m not trying to gaslight you at all. I concede that many players have issue with Mr. Smite – that’s undeniable. But, again, it isn’t as simple as drawing him. You have to draw him, and play Cariel for her buffs, and cast several holy spells to reduce the cost of Garden’s Grace. A well-timed and lucky Mutanus can eliminate him. There’s also Vol’jin with which you can have him summoned and killed. And let’s not forget taunt.
If you think I attacked you at all, you’re incorrect. I’ve said there are many frivolous complainers on the internet, and that you don’t need to go for the frivolous complainer high score.
To be fair I don’t think you attacked me either. At some point you just started mumbling about blood, which was weird, but weird isn’t an attack.
So no, you haven’t been attacked. You’ve been argued with, and that’s a different thing. Please don’t be a snowflake.
Sounds like you to me. Any actual data on how many people?
When a mob of people say “This is bad, we want change” and someone else says “yeah!” and they all turn to them and go “booo, hisss”. Yeah, it’s not personal. Amazing how many Mr. Smite lovers and “there’s nothing wrong with Smite, git good”'s there are in this thread. It’s ok. And I wasn’t directing the last post at you specifically Scrotie. I replied to 3ff, I mean Bee-little. HAHAHA, Belittle. He likes to Belittle people and he’s a teeny tiny little Bee. Small little stinger.
Mr Smite simply has to be nerfed he’s so problematic in so many decks.
QQ moar friend lol……
We all agree that smite is a strong finishing play.
The disagreement comes from what is too strong.
I honestly think smite alone isn’t the issue, it is how it is being abused by several decks.
The LEAST problematic use is the slow paladin decks. The bare minimum perfect draw time to get smite to thirty attacks is like turn 13. This isn’t a rush deck. That’s a long game.
I have played about twenty games with it so far and my biggest smite was 16 against a control warrior and the buffs were from righteous defense on his SECOND buffed smite that cost one from nellie.
Most games don’t even get down to smite being a factor.
The exact reason I cut Mr Smite and have had more success.
What are you using to finish up matches? Kazakusan?
Kaz mainly, but control paladin is so good you rarely even need Kaz. You can run most of the aggro stuff out of resources and just win with your Hero and HP buff.
You can name me 100 different hearthstone cards and I can find you thousands of players who dislike the cards and thousands who do like the cards.
You need to understand that not everything revolves around you. Just because you don’t like Sir Smite, that doesn’t mean he should get nerfed.
There are a lot of players who enjoy the card and a lot who don’t care (me for instance)
Which is why they typically nerf cards based on power level.
Whenever I see whiny charge threads, I get the newbie vibes.
but its fun! so no problem there its 6 mana cost make it so it comes later than leeroy so no idea why you are complaining
I am playing the deck not so wel i win more with hero power mage then paladin
Knowing a paladin has smite in hand and is pumping it up, but not being able to do anything about it blows pretty hard.
Mutanus is far too likely to miss to be a reliable counter. Last time I faced a smite paladin I was waiting for turns to draw my mutanus, knowing what he was doing, and wasn’t able to before their smite was ready.
They just kept healing/stat stealing in the meantime. Paladin stat stealing spells and infinite weapon can remove taunts.
Smite was a mistake.
The only problem I have is Garden’s Grace should cost more than 10 to start with. It’s too easy to do normal things and make it free very quickly.
With things like Immortalized in Stone and Cariel Roane rushing at people, it’s just too simple to buff 10/10 on smite without even playing the hero power.
Timmy likes charge. People like interactivity.
