Now machineGun Hunters use 5 times their power a turn! And totally ruin the play - The hero power cannot be blocked! No way to counter!
We can cancel/modify spells, minions, … why not hero power?
It will be good idea if there is a card which changes opponent hero power (mage 10damage ping, Hunter machinegun, …) for at least 3-4 turna or … till game end
There is a gimmick solution in wild where you can play Grizzled Wizard (Battlecry: swap hero powers with your opponent until your next turn), then play SIr Finley Mrrgglton (Battlecry: Discover a new basic hero power) to change the enemy’s hero power for the rest of the game. Very niche, not very reliable, but it is a solution nonetheless. There are other cards you can use to change hero powers too which can also work so you’re not just locked into the two cards previously mentioned, but Grizzled Wizard is necessary to steal the hero power to actually make the change.
If you want a card specifically to change the hero power, maybe they could make a fourth Finley, like:
Sir Finley, Blight Hunter (Could be a Darkshire themed set)
- 2 mana 1/3
- Battlecry: Discover a new basic hero power for you, then for your opponent.
Idk, just spitballing here; I do agree with you though there’s a huge spike in hero power value with these new hero cards and quests, I remember back when DK Gul’Dan’s hero power was considered op lol
Just played another game vs. hunter who made 120+ damage … Is that what we want? Ultra agressive fast games… What happens with 7+ mana cards … Totally obsolete ?
I’ve tested this is in single player mode and the combo doesn’t work unfortunately.
