I am posting this on this category because it’s the one most people really use. There’s no really good category to post this in anyway, so I guess it doesn’t matter.
My suggestion is pretty straightforward but I think it would drastically change the user experience here. Just do what reddit does and allow collapsible sub-threads inside each thread. The idea is that anytime someone directly replies to someone else, the reply post would appear indented below the post it was replying to, and so on and so forth with subsequent replies. Whenever a sub-thread accumulates over 2 posts, it can be automatically collapsed so anyone interested in the exchange can click expand to delve further into that particular sub-conversation. If instead someone wants to add a new post that addresses the thread’s OP, then it would be posted normally below as a new post in the thread. So basically how reddit works but without downvoting and maintaining the current forum interface which, in my opinion, is actually better than reddit’s.
Every single thread with more than 20 replies in this forum gets impossible to read because it gets derrailed with inane conversations between a few users and the conversation never goes anywhere. That is probably why even devs prefer using reddit to their own forum. So just bring here what works on reddit. This would probably be quite a bit of work to implement but it’s not the first time we get a forum makeover. This change would improve this forum massively.

I mean on one hand. Yes, that would be great. On the other hand they can’t even get the game to function properly regularly, so idk that the forum is really something they are looking at priority wise
I would bet money that they dont consider us a priority at all, and I’m not usually a betting man
These forums are the equivalent of the bottom of the boat where the rats live.
It only gets attention when there is an issue and they come down to do a quick extermination and promptly leave.
The chances of them spending any meaningful time here to make any quality of life improvements to the forums are the equivalent of a Cruise ship dedicating a day for a nice fancy meal specifically for the rats only.

I wish they would go back to the original thumbs up/down feature where unpopular posts just get buried. Their honor system flags are really abused.
You are only a rat (rank) if you exceed 10000 posts, otherwise, you start as an ant, and only gets promoted every 1000 post!

And this is probably a Blizzard-wide CODE suggestion since this forum code appears Blizzard-wide.

If some of the other originals had stayed, they would be way beyond me. I’m not even sure they play anymore.
Sounds like that could be neat, think discord has that too in some way shape or form anyway

Why would they spend any resources to improve this forum when they already have Reddit doing it for them for no extra costs?
