well that somewhat escalated.
I´m kinda not sure what to make of the game, but the amount of ridiculousness afoot is just much higher even than all what we went through with thiefrogue, kazakusan and the SW OTKs.
maaybe it´s time to quit.
You were one damage off from having them beat on turn 10+ and very nearly won. Why would you quit?
Would it have been ridiculous if you had won instead, or would you have just moved on to your next match?
Stormwind sucked because you were getting OTK’d on turn 6 or 7 every other match.
it kinda felt like throwing the herthstone equivalent of nuclear wepaons at each other turn after turn. Didn´t matter how it ended.
just not sure if this powerlevel is for me anymore. i like to build up an advantage gradually.

bru… You had lethal on turn 8
The game didn’t really take off until the midrange area though, which is where decks like that want to be moving into their power spikes.
I can agree that this isn’t 2016 Hearthstone anymore, but I also enjoy the variety in avenues of play that couldn’t be found when you were just swapping vanilla minions with the occasional advantage.

not sure if there´s actually more variety in play when you basically always have to find the perfect answer asap or you´re probably dead the next turn. there´s just a very slim margin of error to walk, not terribly many lines that can lead to victory at all.
Which might be fine. that game just felt like i was playing more of a SC2 game, or some shooter. dunno. but i´m also admittedly very tired as the workday was pretty harsh.

I see…
Well. As the game gets older stuff get more complex creating that sensation.
It’s Very dificult for many to deal with it and design wise anything remotely interesting will create that feeling in the long run.
Because you have to always come with New and exciting ideas and mechanics.
guess i´ve been mostly playing Hearthstone to not be super focused on it - just enough to not make medium to big mistakes and enjoy it while watching sth else or listening to some music.
if it demands full focus all the time, i guess it´s time to leave it be and play sth else instead in those moments you´re tired but want to keep a tiny bit busy.
Just not sure how many people actually play hearthstone to really focus on it.
Excellent question. I am almost always watching videos or reading when I play.
Well…
When you make the game more interactive and with actual decision making this is what happens.
Because you know. If both just try to do their plans without Care about what the opponent does then you’re not really interacting.
Just my 2 cents about it.
The game really feels like getting deeper this time(pun intended).
really can´t sea that.
it mostly feels like you have to get your good cards faster than your opponent still. Just that it´s an escalating early board this time rather than an outright OTK.
i miss galakrond rogue dearly.
I’ve been playing a bunch of Naga Mage today, which has involved several 30+ mana turns, if that gives you any idea lol
When I wanna turn my brain off, I usually just play Pirate Warrior or Face Hunter etc

Because you just not like nuclear bombs and it’s fine.
Powerlevel and skill aren’t enemies.
You can easily have both.
What i see with the most of the New archtypes that is good is the capacity of shift gears when necessary.
That is sincerely something i did really miss past year.
Mech mage itself can shift between a snowballing strategy , a attrition strategy against faster decks and combo deck against removal pile decks.
It isn’t Rocket science to pilot but compared to past year i would be surprised if the average player could handle it without missplay.
