Splintergraft - how to generate a 10/10 golden copy

Hello,

I need help with an in-game information and I would very much appreciate if you could assist me.
I want to use Splintergraft in order to create a GOLDEN 10/10 copy of a minion. However, using Splintergraft, on a golden minion on the board, only returns a regular copy of that minion with 10/10 stats. The only way I can imagine to create a golden copy would be that Splintergraft should be golden.
As the aforementioned is an assumption, I hereby ask for confirmation that a Golden Splintergraft will generate a Golden 10/10 of the targeted minion.

Edit: the same with Sathrovarr

Thank you in advance.

The splintergraft is the one who needs to be golden.

Thank you very much.
Cheers.

Minami is 100% correct.

This is because cards that are generated by other cards take on the golden/not golden state of whatever generated them.

Golden Khadgar generates golden copies of minions you summon.
Golden Magic Trick discovers golden Spells.

And so on, etc.

That’s weird though, because using a regular polymorph on a gold minion creates a golden sheep. Shouldn’t it create a regular sheep?

I’m thinking Polymorph might be coded differently, because I’m pretty positive my Golden Malygos’s Polymorph turns its target into a golden Sheep, regardless of what it was.

I’m not saying it should only work one way, I’m saying it should work both.

Targeting a gold minion with splinter graft should create a gold 10/10, same as using a gold splintergraft on a regular minion should create a gold copy.

why do you even care dude ? generating a golden card is completely useless

Aren’t you the guy who crafted 90% of the games cards in gold?

yes but in that instance it’s irrelevant

also from now on I am leaving the gold theme

enough money wasted on this game

If you really want to have fun with golden cards, play a Golden Basic Neutral Highlander deck.

Memedictus is another strange one. Despite shuffling a copy of your opponents deck into yours, he wont make regular copies golden, even if he himself is iirc.

Now that’s stupid. He should definetly shuffle a golden copy into your deck.

I havent seen it in a while, my copy is regular, but I’m pretty sure thats how it used to work. Cant say with absolute confidence though, it was a while back and might have been changed, or my drunken butt is remembering wrong. But I am fairly sure it at least used to work that way, 90%+.

Witchey Lackey works the same as Polymorph as well, from what I can see
