Spirit of the badlands mirage and excavate not working

I’m playing a spirit of the badlands highlander deck, and whenever I play an excavate card with the mirage, the card I excavate is completely unplayable that turn

[Added 9/3] [Hearthstone] The team is investigating reports that Mirage (Spirit of the Badlands) and Fortune (Narain Soothfancy) sometimes generate cards that can’t be played. Some reports are indicating that this problem may be tied to when they transform into a card that generates another card.

I wish it was easier to find a list of problems they are aware of but at least they are aware of it
