If I join a BG in a party and I die, I am unable to spectate the player from the party. If i leave party and try to spectate from the friend’s list, it says I’m already spectating. The only workaround I’ve found is to quit and relaunch the game and spectate from the friend’s list.

yupp same for me. I end the match and neither my friend or me can spec. Its always like this every day. Its def a bug on HS side cuz ive reinstalled and have seen this every single time
