The watch and learn quest (watch a friend win in spectator mode) did notwork in Battlegrounds for me. I watched the game from turn 3 until completion and it did not count as quest completion.

I have also just experienced this. Didn’t notice what turn they were on at the start, but it was early. Watched through the whole match until they got the first place victory. Then they went to the main menu screen so I hit leave spectate mode rather than wait for them to play another match. The quest reward didn’t pop, it’s still in my daily quests. Playing on an android mobile (Samsung Galaxy S10e).
