Hard to evaluate right now. Their value is linked with the new hero powers. Lets see how usefull are the new ones and if its worth to bother with them.
The look like they were meant to be druid cards.
well its literally a druid expansion, soooo
Slumbering sprite looks to be a good 1 drop in any deck that isn’t hard aggro who wants their 1 drop to be able to act start of turn 2
Not just control, but a mage/rogue/lock/hunter can afford to use their hero power on 2 without losing much tempo.
Later on with imbue or starcraft heroes or whatever else means you can play it using leftover mana and get the 3/3 right away.
So, lemme get this straight:
6 classes have Imbue, and the remaining 5 classes have…what?
Dark gift. 10 different effects, almost all of them good for something.
You can try out dark gift with the freebie 2 drop in the shop.
So far it’s always a choose from 3 minions, and each gets a random dark gift.
Even in an average roll the dark gift would make a medicore minion usable. If you highroll the gift and the minion can work very well together.
And yes you can get class cards and legendaries (got a turbulus once, and gorg a couple of times). One of the revealed cards is to discover a legendary itself.
dark gift
maybe you should try reading the announcement for once
Oh, got it, thanks
Yeah, I’m running the 2-drop in most of my decks, it’s very fun, very solid, literally a card made for people like me who enjoy good old curvestone
Now, why would I do that, when I have you??
Srsly, though, by the time it takes me to find, open and read the announcement on this laptop, I can have 10 other questions answered here
reminds me of the reddit joke, “after 3 turns: boring”, “after 3 lunar cycles: yes”.
Tbf it’s a little unfair because Imbue will only work with 6 classes but Dark Gift will work for any. So that’s a bunch of neutrals 6 classes don’t get to use ever. A bit weird imo.
Imbue should at least improve the other classes’ normal HP even if it doesn’t change it.
That’s definitely not what I had in mind when I read the replies above
No, it’s not fair at all. I’m expecting a different keyword being announced (is it possible?)
I’m guessing Dark gift is a bit like excavate.
There are neutral excavate cards, but excavate classes have more, and related synergies, which makes the neutral excavates much less appealing for other classes.
The freebie two drop is decent on its own now, though is still more of a novelty and a win-more card than something that can save you in a clutch or finish a game.
Once emerald dream releases we should see the full power of dark gift decks to compare it to imbue decks.
Expect a lot of crying about this or that being OP, or how the devs are incompetent (again, for 10 years and going yet still the game continues), etc etc You know, the usual.
How does shudderblock double battlecry dark gift work xd?
You discover a minion 3 times, each time it’s a different roll (so 3 different minions, each with different dark gifts). It’s fairly good value, but far from the best shudder play (aka it’s not incindius or raynor, why aren’t you saving your shudder for those? ;p)
I think it’s a good thing shaman is NOT dark gift class. Think excavate. Dark gift classes will likely get more mileage out of dark gifts. Right now we only have a single neutral dark gift card, and it has done alright from my own experience. Imagine if shaman was a dark gift class and could take it further beyond, with shudder and other things.
So yeah shaman will take their evolve imbue thing and like it
Imagine discover dark gift into Shudderblock with battlecry trigger twice, lol.
Best thing is shaman is not generally dark gift class, so it should not happen.
I wasn’t clear what I meant. I was writting having in mind lord xavius, the neutral legendary darkgift, discover a minion from your deck give it a dark gift. Shudderblock gets discovered with the battlecry buff. What then? Shudderblock’s text says next battlecry triggers 3 times. Does it count itself at the same turn? Oof.
I dont know how it works, but it seems to be next battlecry (after shudderblock) will trigger 5 times (original + 2 extra + 2 extra)
Oh man,we are about to break the game boyss
