Blizzard can fix an issue in mercs within hours because it’s costing them $.

Watch them take weeks to fix druid

Blizzard unironically still hasn’t fixed Varden’s 200 damage ice lance task being potentially soft lockable if you level up your 4 and 5 speed mercs too high to avoid one shotting the glacial shard with a fighter crit (who are the only mercs fast enough to land the hit on speed with xyrellas heal, but will crit and one shot, ending the fight.

There’s a person a few days ago who almost got soft locked in the tutorial of all things, since too many mercs died to beat the boss and the retire run is/was disabled during tutorial.

It’s almost hard to even just put them down at face value since they’re inherantly negative, but i mean, it just is what it is. I don’t actually feel that bad about the brawl as most, (but i suppose i won it 8 times in a row, without thinking, and went "huh.), and had to mess around a bit to lose, but on the other end i saw “I just lost this brawl 10 times in a row, i hate this brawl so flipping much!” so uh, flip side of the coin there.

But uh, idk. I guess blizzard is a business. And they just… negative or positive lens… literally fired their q/a term during a covid boom year for all time high sales… to… increase shareholder profit, and we’re just seeing more bugs then ever. I don’t even know if the development is even fully english anymore either. All the typos seem bizzare. (Not to say that indian and other countries can’t be amazing coders. I’ve been in a couple classes with them, they can code some amazing stuff. but… i don’t know, some of the typos in there look like stuff a 2nd grader couldn’t catch.

And im sure a 2nd grader couldn’t develop hearthstone (at least, not from scratch), but man i mean…

They got to at least have like a card editor right? Clearly making hsreplay cards or tokens isn’t bad, coding the effects is probably where it all goes into play, But yeah, it boggles my mind why on earth a tyrantus fix would even take so long.

It’s not like they could just copy and paste any hard code from a existing working card… or just… like Edit varden’s task to be like “cast Ice lance 10-20 times” or something.

But then again, in a financial market, doing a change that might cost 10 cents of labor to save free customers maybe potentially dozens to several hours worth of time probably isn’t worth it. I mean positive or negative lens. Otherwise they’d have already fixed it already. I know some changes are spaghetti code maybe, but can anyone give me a good reason why a 2 drop can have untargetable by spells, but a 12 drop having it back in a week would break the game? It seems like a pretty easy 2 minute fix to make for anyone over a lunch break. *

  • Unless tyrantus is somehow coded with spaghetti code that apply to him, ONLY him, and ONLY just him, despite… having a duplicate effect… That would take down the wow servers, destroy the game, and reward f2p packs if… they added the untargetable by spell effect back to him in 2 seconds.

I don’t know blizzard anymore, someone tell me if there is a bug that destroys hearthstone if that does happen though.
