It is perfectly fine for the devs and the players having a class with massively undercosted and overpowered cards unckeck and everything need to be accepted as it is just because it is new?
It is ok to have a 1 mana weapon it gives 8 damage, even when warrior having a 2 manas giving 6 was considered too strong and nerfed?
It is ok to the class increase 10 health beyond limit for only 2 manas and draw a card on top of that, even when a 3/4 neutral hurting the consistency of your deck and being a bad draw to do the same was considered too strong and nerfed?
It is ok a 5/5 minion for 6 manas have a free Pyroblast?
It is ok give direct damage in the face, put a 5/5 in the game and freezing the entire board of the opponent in a single card?
It is ok priests and warlock having to spend 8 manas for a full board clear without anything in the board for your own but DK having a 5/5 free and refill your stock on top of that?
It is ok DK have minions with lifesteal, charge, taunt, and many keywords at once for less than 8 manas but shaman have to pay 8 manas for something similar? It is ok DK having the best disrupt minion of all time destroying the board, hand and deck at the same time?
And on top of that having insanely support to discover the broken cards again and again?
All this just because is a new class? It is not waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much?
I see, and I am not exagerating, more than 50 DK’s for each rogue or warrior in the ladder, I know a truly balanced game with all classes being representated equally is impossible but this is ridiculous.
Power creep happened what was too strong for 2014 isn’t too strong in 2023.
What about a 5/5 draw 5 cards deal 5 damage gain 5 armor?
Warlock gets a 8 mana 7/4 and 4/7 that only hits the opponent side and leaves your stuff alone. Priest gets numerous conditional clears for less than 8. Harmonic Pop is one of them and that comes with a 3/3 or 6/6 for 6 mana.
What card is this? This card does not exist. Do you mean Gnome Muncher? Everyone gets Zilliax for 5 mana that gets 4 keywords.
All classes get access to discover their broken cards again and again its not just a DK thing.
You would think that after they’ve been proven wrong so many times on these very forums by factual data I link that they would go check their facts before making ignorant posts.
Before I make a claim, I go check to see if I’m correct. If I turn out to be wrong, I admit it openly.
These guys never do that. They spout garbage from their mouth, don’t check diddly squat, and then turn around and goal post move their point to save face. It’s never a “I’m sorry, I was mistaken and you were right and I was wrong.”
I literally just did this yesterday with Scrotie. I was wrong about how an interaction worked, he corrected me and I admitted my mistake and admitted he was right.
I’ll never get that same respect from these people.
If this was the case why the nerf in the warrior weapon don’t was unnerfed or even buffed to 3/3 for 2 manas? If a 1 mana weapon give 8 damage is ok for DK then a 2 manas give 9 damage is ok for warrior.
Take another example, a very good card druid uses to gain 8 armor for 2 manas with delay of 4 armor for the next turn, goes in almost every druid deck, why DK should have extra 2 life without delay and draw a card on top of that?
Why DK are allowed to have so many undercosted and insanely overpowered cards?
And yet, DK win rate does not reflect the power of those cards.
Don’t get my wrong, those are powerful cards, and you missed some even, like Grave Strength, a permanent bloodlust for 4 mana (and 5 corpses).
I mean, blood, frost and unholy are still competitive deck but they’re not exactly exhibiting stratospheric win rate, they’re not even tier 1.
So what make a deck powerful? Why a class with with access to so powerful cards can barely maintain a middle of the pack position in the meta?
It was a class designed to bring in new players for an extremely cheap price and still be highly competitive. So naturally you are going to run into a great deal of them at the lower ranks of ladder. Once you get into Diamond they virtually disappear. At this point in the game DK is looking about as average as all the other mid tier decks. They finally figured out how to balance them by nerfing them with a big change after they felt everyone that was going to buy in had spent in.
“I am your mother (I am your mother), you listen to me (you listen to me)
Stop all that mansplainin’, no one’s listening
Tell me, who gave you the permission to speak? (Speak)
I am your mother (I am your mother), you listen to me (shh)”
That is exactly what popped into my head reading your post.
Team 5 don’t listen to player feedback. They have not looked at these forums for years. Reddit is filled with sycophants. And they block people on their personal twitters.
They genuinely seem to think they’re doing a good job despite the state of the game. The game is never going to get to a good place again and is only in autopilot mode. They will continue to pump out OP garbage 3 times a year until people stop paying for it.
Druid and shaman in the past don’t get this dominance and everyone ask for nerfs until finally hits, now it is 30 DK’s for each rogue, warlock or warrior and everyone is ok with this.
