it like blizzard like keep face hunter on top all the time while the rest of classes are nerf more then that class. Face hunter has never been below tier 1 even if it has a high win rat.
Control and mid-range hunter are better than aggro in Classic.
Not true, face was tier 2 during roguestone.
Itâs not Blizzard fault. Itâs the people complaining about nerfing everything else out of the way and leaves good old Face Hunter there to pick up that tier one spot. The reason Hunter itself escapes the nerfs is because itâs a fair deck that exploits the tempo nature of the core game design to win. No BS OTK out of nowhere, no over powered card for a crutch, Just tempo and pushing face.
Face hunter has almost always been a tier 1 deck and almost always will be. Itâs nothing new, itâs consistent and itâs healthy for the meta.
Aggro will always exist, and hunter is the king of aggro.
Iâm not a terribly good player. I do know how to play around secrets. Sometimes it is infuriating, however, when playing versus Secret Beast Hunter. This deck can sometimes prevent you from casting the spell youâd like to cast. It can prevent you from killing the minion youâd like to hit. It can prevent you from going face. It can duplicate its minions. It kind of locks you out. Totally fair. I need to learn to git gud. Despite all of that, Iâm salty AF right now having just conceded out of frustration versus a Secret Beast Hunter. So immensely annoying.
This makes me realize, I am very glad Secret Paladin is hardly played.
Yeah, face Hunter or Overload Shaman are probably the closest thing Hearthstone has to Red Deck Wins Iâd say⌠Purest distillation of the aggro archetype basically, some form of it will always be around unless aggro as a whole is in a really bad place.
You may not like Face Hunter but the deck needs to exist in order for there to be counters control/value decks.
I would not mine face hunter if blizzard gave them more minions instead of spell but it like spells are more damage now.
This is a blatant lie, though. Itâs only fairly recently (post-Ashes of Outland) gotten steam. Before that, its last reign was during Naxx.
Aggro hunter has certainly been the bane of your average Hearthstoner, though. And by average, I meant constantly misplaying, mismanaging and complaining Hearthstone player.
There have been times in 2016, 2017, early 2018 when Hunter as a whole class was tier 3, and nowhere to be seen in tournament settings.
Face Hunter is hardly âalways tier 1â, not even now. Warrior or Shaman where the kings of Aggro in Gadgetzan, for instance. What Face Hunter IS - itâs an easy Aggro solution in unrefind metas after releases or buffs/nerfs like now.
Everyone got the nerfs they were asking for and I think we all knew face hunter and priest would be on the uptick again.
Face Hunter is pretty diverse in a lot of metas too so they tend to pop up.
You could try healing a lot but you may have to play priest, which no one really wants to do.
I donât mind having a healthy face deck for the meta, what I would like to see is having that healthy face deck change to a different class for a while, like say a year and put face hunter on the back burner for a year
The only way to realistically remove Face Hunter from being a tier 1 deck is to change Hunterâs Hero Power. So long as 2 damage face is their button they will always be incentivized to play a strategy where the Hero Power gives them reach to close out the game.
Itâs ok to have evergreen archetypes. Iâm still salty Zoo isnât a thing.
To the op Face Hunter is fun for the relatively modest amount of people that play it. If youâre losing to it often enough that itâs a problem, that means your deck is too greedy for your pocket meta, or you are misplaying. Both of these are fixable.
It never gets popular enough to lock out certain archetypes, and has obvious counters. This is why it only receives modest nerfs (Trogg, Kolkar Pack Runner, Scavengers Ingenuity, Voracious Reader etc).
I wish they printed a card like benedictus for hunter.
âIf your deck has only beasts, your hero power becomes dinomancy (or whatever it is called)â.
Maybe also shaman needs one similar card
As mentioned, face hunter was not tier one before the latest patch. But it was one of the better non-rogue decks before the patch. I never played much hunter till this season after D5 upon forum recommendation re: Rastapal. Iâve tried to make a version of beast hunter work in legend but I am having a harder time than I hoped.
On a side note, what approximate rank do you need to get the last star for next season? Iâve never pushed very hard. Thanks!
Same here. It feels that it lacks the consistency that priest may afford during early turns as it doesnât have huge removals other than playing around traps plus aoe is week for current stats (2 or 3 and thatâs it). Also it doesnât have heals, so while it looks like a nice greedy deck it definitely loses on some points being compared to priest or ramp druid. Just my thoughts on beast hunter, may be wrong.
Iâve met info that 11 SB could be achieved around 1000-1500. It actually is different every season as is based on % of MMRs.
Agreed. Sometimes I find myself angry when I lose to one of those, but then I think that if those guys werenât playing, we would be seeing 10x more quest warlocks and worse greedy decks being played.
If hunters are killing handlocks, they are my best friends.
Dude, thatâs a great idea!! Iâd really like to see that happening.
Your soul shall suffer!
