So now that Druid & Priest ALSO has a lethal from hand OTK

Do you think perhaps maybe is the time to do some more adjustments.

Im seeing why everyone is playing hunter now because at least if they end the game by t4 or 5 nobody gets their non interactive combos off.

I mean seriously, besides the obvious just kill them before t8/10 comment, how does one exactly stop the druid combo?

You could play the new +2 spellcaster that people started including to nullify shaman, but that just delays the combo a turn, besides Theo stealing “one copy” of Swarm, or warrior getting a zillion armor I fail to see how there is any obvious counter to those decks when half their cards that they use for the combo are in hand.

So, you don’t want to hear the correct answer; you just want to hear the wrong answer so you can tell people the game needs a balancing patch.

Now, Merc, you’re correct, the game needs balancing, but you gotta realize something: this is what the game is man. A race to murder your opponent.

I think some small mana nerfs will do the trick, those decks aren’t that good already, some small mana nerfs will make them even worse.

Primordial Wave coming in hot. Shaman’s offensive evolves can cripple decks like this new OTK Druid.

Good idea, now what do we do if we arent playing shaman ?

Hope enough people switch to shaman to make the otk decks unpopular.

Or play mage and do your own more reliable otk, with otk protection.

Lose because every deck has weaknesses, or should. Something like OTK Druid gets mauled by Mech Rogue and probably most other proactive decks.

Every deck should have weaknesses, that’s true, but that doesn’t mean the winner should be decided before the match even starts. The problem with many modern OTK decks is they don’t require much setup beforehand. The entire combo can be played in a single turn, meaning your opponent is screwed no matter what they do, and that creates an unfun and noninteractive player experience.

It’s practically a hallmark of Tier 4 decks like OTK Druid that they do one thing well and die to anything else. That’s not all Tier 4 decks, but it is the case here. For the Druid, they are rolling the dice on getting a good matchup, and for you, it should be a “GG go next” moment because you can take comfort in the knowledge that there’s little you could’ve done and that most of the game tramples on them. You might be their one win of the day.

This Druid deck requires a LOT of setup. And it’s telegraphed from the very first spellpower minion.

Yes but which totem shaman deck runs it?

other shaman decks that did run it got nuked off

I suppose that the answer isn’t in Totem Shaman, then. Wouldn’t Totem Shaman annihilate this Druid deck? Druids have no board clears. Unless they stock Wild Pyro and I never see it.

Well, I’ve never made totem shaman work so can’t tell. no idea how people do 60% with it. but rakes should take out most important totems and then hope they don’t draw bloodlust in time i guess. also 20 armor is kinda insane.

Yes but then you are saying by playing their little 1/2 drop with spellpower constitutes as an “I win lol” card, there’s a problem.

I mean, we currently have swarm druids resurrecting a full board of either the deathrattle hero power minions (before Titans) or now with the Storm Giants that cost 2 or 0 when they played it , perhaps its time to look at how Swarm card works.

Perhaps a nerf should be worked in to say “resurrect a single copy of your unique 2 drops that died this game” therefore it doesnt resurrect all over and over again, but simply single copies.

Again, doesnt stop spellpower druid when they usually pair up swarm with solar eclipse, but its a start that helps with the other versions idk
