you having more luck with it, maybe im playing it wrong?
Should be pretty viable in wild. Maybe not in standard. Warhorse Trainer is effing broken in wild.
How could it not? The dude cards are hot garbage.
The only way to make dudes threatening is to run the questline which forces you to build a bad deck and play it badly.
Also for some reason they like to wait on dude cards to rotate before printing new ones so there’s never a time when we reach a critical mass of support for it to be good.
Dudes never stood a chance
I’ve seen a few different styles. I think Dude paladin feels fairly weak, but the Jailer Paladin with Pure Paladin cards in addition seems somewhat promising.
Not just that, just arent enough ways to consistently summon them/have a board of recruits, espcially with more removals in all forms excisting nowdays (and cheaper aswell)
Which is why warhors,e before ANY buffs (when still had 2attack) was still a staple in wild odd pally, because unlike standard, it can actully summon recruits constantly so the buff cards can actully do their job at buffing recruits
Anything that board buffs +1/+1 on 1/1’s is hot garbage. It needs to be (for the rest of the game) then it won’t sucks so much.
Darkmoon rotation murdered Dude. Losing Lothraxion, Tour Guide, Balloon Merchant, DaTF, and the conviction nerf all crushed it. Cariel doesn’t synergize with it due to the hero power swap and the quest rewards are horrifically outdated.
Hate the jailer already. Absolute trash of a card.
I dont care about if the decks who run it have good win percentages or not so save yourself the never ending comment that it cant be a problem.
Its mechanics is trash. Many classes cant even answer it. Its a bad wincondition.
There’s no world where dude paladin exists in a meta with Sire.
I mean, playing tokens into their win con seems like a great plan… but hey, they can interact with all your dudes before they otk you, so it’s totally a fun and interactive playstyle.
uhhhh Control Paladin is now the 7th best deck…lol
is that the one with jailer and countess later ?
surprisingly, no.
It’s the introduction of Order in the Court that I think has changed the deck to reliably get Denathrius faster.
That’s probably also a good way to clear your deck of neutrals for pure paladin.
I think Order in the Court has a lot of promise in deck building for other paladin decks as well.
They should make a paladin card like IF you have only paladin cards or if you summoned x dudes, your dudes have rush this game.
Order in the court, and then Theotar comes. Very vulnerable those decks using that card. Same reason as Druid stopped using their draw highest card spell.
