So can Ressurect Priest finally be fixed?

The fact that you can resurrect multiple copies of the same minion is beyond irritating. It makes no sense whatsoever. “Oh, minion x died this game. Clearly that means you should be able to bring infinite of that same minion from the dead :).” Devs. Cmon. Make it fair. Make it so if a minion dies, and you resurrect it, only ONE copy can come back ever if only the ORIGINAL died. If there’s two copies of the same minion that were played normally, of course that should mean that two of them should be able to resurrect. INFINITE though makes it so unfun.
Oh, and fix Grave Rune already. It not showing its deathrattle icon on a minion is stupid as hell.

Post made because of the amount of rez priest I’ve fought, and a bm’ing one I just fought. Would name drop but forums apparently don’t like reporting toxicity.

ADDENDUM: This is not to say that Rez Priest shouldn’t exist. Should a graveyard effect be made for Priest, it should also come with a buff to all resurrect cards that are popular, namely in mana cost tbh.

It a strong deck that a lot of people like to play. It kills you later than typical aggro deck so what’s the problem? :slight_smile: They start crushing you at turn 6 when usually you are dead against other decks. There’re counterplays like transform their minions, deny their spells, outvalue them or kill them before turn 6.

Aggro most of the time beats it. Combo beats it in 90% of cases. So unless you are playing an unicorn meme greedy “Lich King is still a good card” deck you shouldn’t have problems against rez priest.

Not a fan of aggro. Plus, I’m not saying that with such a change, there shouldn’t be any change to resurrection cards. With cards like Mass Resurrection, if it were to only revive three original minions, the card should be lowered to 7 or even 6 mana, instead of 9.

It’s just tiring that the whole thing of this is “aggro aggro aggro go face win”
I want to have a bit of fun, I wanna do some control-ish shenanigans. Resurrect Priest deserves to exist, but it’s far too annoying with how it functions currently.

honestly this change should have happened long ago, introducing a graveyard, just so that the game makes more sense, but if this were to happen, resurect cards should be buffed accordingly otherwise that would be a huge shadow nerf to all res cards.
for now it wouldn’t make sense to hit res priest, in a meta were toxifin+aoe murlock becomes the most meta defining interaction in wild

Everyone has fought against tons of Res Priests.

They are vulnerable to Aggro. You don’t like Aggro? They are vulnerable to Combos. You don’t like Combos? They are vulnerable to Reno Priest.

Priest generally just folds over and dies when Loatheb is dropped on curve, while you got good board presence.

By strong deck I mean what it can do when it’s allowed to do that not in terms of tier lists. Technically you could pilot non-tier deck with 70% winrate in diamond or legend rank and by not being in any tier doesn’t make it weak. Tiers are just average performance for average users and any deck could be piloted with tier 1 stats (above 55% winrate) as long as it has enough synergies (is a solid deck) and you know every deck you play against in practice (you played them all many times and you know what they do and how to play against them).

There’s no graveyard, so there can’t be anything in the graveyard. There is only “things that died” as a pool to generate minions from. Summoning a thing that died doesn’t undo the fact that one died that game. Until such time as a graveyard is implemented and referred to on cards, there’s nothing wrong with the way that Res effects work. You’re not pulling a card out of the graveyard and back into play.

Well, from my experience, and in the view of the Chinese (or at least the ones who write analyses like VR) the DM BP was very good vs aggro (especially if Zilliax is included and when hysteria was un-nerfed; the double nerf is huge). BP does well in a hyperaggressive meta, since you can tech a lot of cards vs aggro and otk decks are fewer in number.

It simply sucks vs transformation control decks and otk decks. So play Galakrond shaman or any otk decks and enjoy your win./shrug

I agree that Wild Resurrect Priest needs to be fixed. It is way too weak against its main target.

It struggles against some ultra-controlly decks like most Warlock decks (I had to put in Grave Rune to deal with the sheer amount of removal, and am not sure if it is helping), and it’s time for it to get more cards to deal with them.

It’s fine that it loses to aggro Paladin, or transformation-heavy Shaman and Mage, and almost literally every OTK; and it’s fine that it’s a tossup against most aggro. But these naughty Warlocks just exist to be remove minions and need another pushdown.

Rez Priest should be put down. For good.

BP is good against certain specific forms of Aggro, Pirate Warrior for instance.

But it does very poorly against other types, Kingsbane Rogue for instance.

So you can play Aggro and be favored against it.

It shouldn’t be put down for good. It deserves a chance, but not to be an annoyance.

Also I’ll add to my original post for an Addenum, since my original idea behind the post was too unclear. Rez priest should have the graveyard effect, so it can’t revive infinite minions, but should also have resurrect effects buffed too if such a thing occurred.

In MTG if Oko Transforms Hogaak into an Elk, it doesn’t stay an Elk in the Graveyard. It can be summoned again from the graveyard as Hogaak.

But in HS, they can summon a dozen frogs from a transformed Obsidian Statue.

Its why we should get a graveyard like system so transforming isn’t so crippling for Rez but also not allow copies upon copies of a single minion to be reummoned copies made from copies

It seems like you are just throwing popular catchwords to make your post seem more authoritative without any actual link to the meaning of the words.

Because as how balance is used by the pro scene and high Legend players, Res Priest is not a problem.
