So all these quests?

They are annoying. Literally every opponent is just trying to gank out some series of cards to get some craptastic quest item.

I have killed most of them while they fish for parts or conceded when my annoyance was too high to give them the satisfaction of quest solitaire.

I am sure the meta will calm a bit, but if quests are this interesting imma sit this expansion out.

Yes the quests are very badly designed.

I think the previous expansion quests seemed more interesting. Hunter summon 20 minions.

Or even the druid ones
Most of the current quests seem gimmicky and completely unbalanced in some cases

It does seem a bit of a race to complete the quest as most are pretty good win conditions. Maybe Blizz is trying to speed up the average game or something, but itā€™s not the direction Iā€™d like the game to go in.

Isnā€™t this what you wanted? Control decks with win conditions?

Oh please, PLEASE explain how Hunter and Mage quests are both Control decks when they aim to kill you on turn 7-8 at the latest

The Warlock quest has given me a few close games but it fails hard vs aggro and Iā€™ve yet to see any other locks playing it after 8 hours of HS on the EU server.

And thatā€™s why I donā€™t craft day 1, other than memes.

In this case I crafted an old common for my Wild Questline Hunter.

Yet to see a control deck though, lol.

I have watched a dozen paladins play one cost minions until they die, lol.

The priest quest is an absolute joke compared to all the other classes. I canā€™t wait to see the win rate of the card in a few months.

Got 4 quests, Warlock, Druid, Rogue and Priest.

Warlock is the best so far I think and quite enjoyable to play.

The other 3 I am finding, ā€˜mehā€™.

The priest quest is totally pointless, you will either die before getting anywhere near the win condition or killed your opponent with your other cards before getting near the win condition.

I really, really hope thatā€™s not the case.

Yeah you have to combo both Libram Paladin and their quest; I made it work rather well with Summon Stone, Peasant, and general card draw.

Quest hunter is an OTK with Coldarra Drake in the deck, and it seems like the most broken one so far.

Iā€™m trying the eleventh quest, for the Sword of a Thousand Truths! I only conjured the sword twice so far, but the deck can also be fun when I borrow an opponentā€™s minion and make a few copies of it. Itā€™s a priest deck Iā€™m playing in the lower levels of Standard.

The drake is a mage minion.

the quest are fine imo. its just that matchup are very polarized.

Paladin > warlock > mage > paladin .

Slow deck canā€™t withstand warlock and mage burst. But they can deal with board based deck.

Mage canā€™t deal with hyper aggro, but it can beat anything else.

Hyperaggro warlock can beat mage and slow deck, but canā€™t deal with too much face dmg or wide early board;

Control quest warlock can deal with board but canā€™t deal with mage.

Can u point me to some hyperaggro warlock decks? Thanks

I think I played one game that wasnā€™t effectively over by turn 10. Hardly control. Most decks play like a very fast otk combo deck, or at least the good ones.

To be fair Druid could actually become next step in meta development, as gaining armor while dealing damage seems to be a reasonable take against most of these day 1 experiments. It could just need attention to refine it.

sure mate .

I didnā€™t check online list but this is the kind of warlock I see all the time at diamond 5 :

This one is more of a zoo with a burst otk once the quest is completed. Knife vendor deals 8 dmg by itself on enemy hero for instance.

There is another version which consist in discounting stealer of soul with free admissions or the dark portal to get a combo with back fire, fast quest completion and then OTK.

Basically there are a lot of list on the ladder but the core of each list are :

Quest, Darkglare, flame imp, backfire, stealer of soul, flesh giant, Touch of the nathrezim, unstable shadow blast, bloodborne imp. Those are the cards youā€™ll see all the time. Then some people make it more combo and other more aggro.

While I am thankful, could you not of screen-capped your decklist instead? Or the deck code?
