Skill = logic skills?

Hello all. I wanted to talk about skill. I been absorbing so much information about hearthstone.

I was thinking that skill equals logic and how intelligent you are with your brain.

NOw i am very emotional, and i know that even if you buy all the cards in the game, if you do not have a strong analytical skill, you won’t be able to pilot the deck or count lethal.

I am not 100% this is true, because chance and range can skewer this.

But i know a lot of emotional people who don’t know how to pilot decks properly.

So do you guys think that skill = using your brain logically ?

As for me, i think the highest rank i can hit is rank 5, mostly because i am too lazy to grind 160 + games to ever hit legend. Also i am not the smartest guys in the world, and calculating plays takes a bit of time, so i might rope if the situation is technical.

Any ways, hope someone can clarify on this. - Do you think hearthstone is a game of logic and analytical calculations as well as using your brain efficiently ?

Okay, you’ll have a lot of people saying “no, no skill at all, all RNG”.

But yes, you are correct. Skill in Hearthstone is analysing the board, trying to manipulate the RNG, and figuring out lethal. I know I have a tendency to overthink a situation, trying more to stay alive than to win, and have cleared the board, only to discover I missed lethal (which in some cases lost me the game), but I know I’m not alone in this (I’ve played against opponents who had lethal and decided to clear the board, and of course won the next turn).

Skill - the ability to do something well; expertise.

HS can be said is a game of Math, calculating probability and possibility.

Competitively, there are various skillsets such as value trade, placements, resource management, etc (Can be found in link I sent you)
