I am playing through the Monster Hunt single player mode again.
Why not let people just play a mode where they can have fun building their own decks with the artifacts and powers of their choice?
There could be so much single player potential if you gave people a simple campaign to play around with building the most insane card combos they could imagine, without making it frustrating by having so many good and poor choices. Why not make choices interesting instead of right or wrong?
Since that is harder on those without large collections. Unless they just gave you all the cards in witch case all there works builds down to look up the solution and move on for most players just giving them the reward with no effort. While giving both at the same time would req a massive amount of extra work (unless its literally the same with no restrictions in witch case that’s just net deck what works get the reward and get out it kinda kills all replayabilty, exactly what happened with adventures few people go back least monsterhunt and the recent runs going back for a round here and there is fun and I do that quite often).
Hense why we get one or the other esp with the last 4 that where free to play there is really nothing wrong with there way of doing it. Many enjoyed them and those that dint could avode without missing anything or wasting anything.
The adventures like the one coming with this expansion is the type your asking for where we use our own cards. Witch yes you do get artifacts and powers just like in monster hunt there just self contained into the fight norm via the bosses hero power. As there is know reason to have an artifact given you would swap it each fight so might as well be tied to the boss hero power to define that fight as they ave done.
Also the choices in monster hunt are intresting. Vary rarly do you get a bucket selection that its must be this bucket. Normilly at least 2 and often all 3 are “good”. So you have to pick what one goes the best with your deck and plan for what might come ahead cover your back. There is no right/wrong buckets only better buckets for your deck at the time a different deck vary well would like a different bucket (Hell often my bucket picks are based on what fights I already seen knowing I wont get x again so can not grab taunt or as much healing for example).
Sincerely?
That above isn’t a good argument for this year.
It is good for 2017 and 2018 adventures who where free content but since they wanna return paid adventures without even half of the “rewards” of the older paid model i think that any play mode demand is right.
They are locking content behind a good cost this year so they should atleast make it really worth and give it A TON of replayability.
That said i know that adventures for this year will not have a constructed mode but it is totally reasonable to send the feedback that they would put constructed encounters as one of the alt game modes in future PvE content.
