Not sure if this is limited to Battlegrounds or if there’s a more global issue with RNG in the client right now.
So, I was already getting suspicious yesterday when I had a Timebound Scout that I sold for 3 random T7 minions and it produced 3 copies of Highkeeper Ra. While getting a triple this way isn’t absurdly unlikely (1 in 64 or 1.5625%), it definitely struck me as an outlier.
Today, I had a game that tips the scale from “fairly unlikely” to “astronomically improbable”. I had a golden reborn copy of Timewarped Boar which reads “Whenever every third friendly Timewarped Boar dies, get 2 random Golden Beasts.” Since I was playing Akazamzarak, I taunted it and played with 6 units to abuse the Pack Tactics secret. Over the course of the game, I think it triggered at least 10 times and every single time it gave me two copies of the same golden beast. Each instance would vary so I’d get two golden Roosters, then two golden Trigores, etc.
I assume there’s just some code missing to generate a new random result between each instance.
I have a screenshot that I took for proof/reference but there doesn’t seem to be a way to embed, attach, or link to it in the forums. ![]()
