Did anybody else pull a signature Grand Magister Rommath before they bought the tavern pass and got the diamond version?
If so, it doesn’t appear that the signature version re-rolls, which is kind of a bummer. On the bright side, the signature art is less cartoony than the diamond version, which I like.
I actually got a signature Grand Magister after buying the tavern pass, so it doesn’t seem to matter the order you get them. either way, made for a feelsbad moment for sure…

In my pre order i got a signature romnath, and the tavern pass gave me the diamond version.
Now i have a duplicate. I feel scammed out of a legendary…

Yep. Although I heard that Grand Magister originally started as a Neutral, which they later moved to Mage after the Diamond version had already been produced.

The thing is that people like me who like mage actually buy those instead of only talk how much we want and proceed to ignore when we have the chance.

I really have almost every damm mage cosmetic.
I mean, Paladin got one, too. It is just from collecting the legendaries instead of the bp.

There’s an explanation from Blizzard somewhere that somewhat made sense. But still, I think it’s pretty lame as well.
I dont remember who posted it, but I think it was something like all the Blood Elf Legendaries were getting Diamond portraits, but some of the art was tough to animate so they gave some to DK.
Or something like that…
Did they explain why they made two un-disenchantable premium versions of the same card? Pulling a signature Grand Magister when you already have the diamond is screwing folks out of the rarest "golden legendary odds "drop.
There really should be a reroll option or something. Assuming you’re not a mage collector like Minami, it’s just a useless, super rare card that doesn’t help your collection. Blizzard shouldn’t make signature versions of the Tavern Pass diamond card again. It’s an obvious mistake.
I think they did address it. I do know that you’re able to reroll your original into a new card of the same rarity.
Any cards I have received from the track that I already have allowed me to reroll.
They should just allow people to disenchant for 3K dust.
There are two exceptions:
Neither the combination of signature Rommath with Diamond Rommath, nor the combination of signature Lorthemar with regular Lorthemar allows for a reroll, since none of the cards involved are disenchantable.
I brought the tavern pass immediately before opening packs and many of the tavern pass rewards rerolled including rommath.
That what happened. I never tried saying no.
14 legendaries from packs. 2? from rerolls. The rerolls from prologue where a little confusing.
85 packs from bundle, 52 from gold,3 free
Rommath only rerolls if you got the regular or golden version (i.e. the craftable ones) before you claimed the Diamond version.
But if you got the Diamond version from the reward track and then pulled the Signature version from a pack (or vice versa), you don’t get a reroll, because neither version is craftable.
The Rommath concern is all over the Hearthstone Reddit, too.
People are bugged, which makes sense, because literally the only people the diamond/signature duplicate issue affects is people who spend money on the game.
At minimum, they bought the Tavern Pass to get the diamond, but in many cases, they also bought the Mega Bundle with its two guaranteed signature legendaries.
Odd that nobody at Blizzard thought that through.
