Sif’s set up makes it more like a combo deck - you need to collect all the damages in hand and played diff spell schools to be able to make it a OTK.
We shall welcome more Sif type of design.
Bran is not. It’s brain dead lazy punk design, destroying fan base and going against Blizzard’s own design philosophy.
Sif is basically 1 card combo with few cheap generated spells from 1 drops. Yeah, you need to play different spell schools, but mosty those spell schools are discovered, so you can pick card you want. It is just easy as you are doing it for your board control and board spawn rewards. Then you have what, 80 damage OTK guaranteed?
Worst case scenario, you can use those cards to clear board or kill opponent even faster without the OTK.
NGL, I hate both of them, they are both too easy to pull off.
The overheal priest is good example of non-toxic OTK - you need to put together combo of 7-8 cards, if you dont are missing one of those 2 legendaries, it does not work. If you dont have 5+ 0 cost healing cards, not gonna work. All those heal cards are useless, because you need to keep them and if you are forced to use them to heal your face, it only delays it by 1 turn. If your opponent gets rid of your hedanis (by rat) and kills it, you can heal your opponent…
I have never been a fan of the OTK playstyle. I really like having something proactive to do every turn when possible.
If Sif were possible in a tempo burn deck, i would love the card:)
Spell damage is one of my favorite things in mage.
I would love to see one new Mage deck that doesn’t have the words: “Discover” or “randomly” in it.
Players might faint from shock over the praise I would heap on it.
If Sif was appropriately costed she would be a 9 cost card.
The really funny part is that the meta has all the sudden swung back to 8 months ago with Bio Shaman OTK and Mage Sif OTK fighting it out and the only card that matters is how many solid Alibi’s the Mage can play in a game. Peek HS dullness.
i just tried the Sif mage. Pretty clunky to me.
Seems slow, and there are alot of ways to mis-play and just lose.
I’m sure I don’t understand why something this slow is fun for anyone.
To use this deck, copy it to your clipboard and create a new deck in Hearthstone
I took it to legend last season (just barely). It’s kinda a rainbow mage/elemental mage fusion.
It runs sif, but I often don’t need sif. It’s just there for the occasional warrior or control priest where you need the extra damage. Usually you want to drop elementals, which also serve as your draw engine, and then burst them down when they finally clear your board. Plenty of room for tinkering too.
