Sick of the meta

I don’t wanna play meta all the time, i wanna be able to make my own deck and compete with it…but that’s not possible with current state of HS. Meta meta meta it’s on autoplay we’re just bots

not nerfing rogue this week kind of shows how much the devs care for the game. A tier 0 deck shouldn’t exist for longer than a week

Everywhere below the top 1k legend bracket, Thief Rogue actually performs worse than Poison Rogue and Face Hunter.

I think Hearthstone has now so much diversity…

There are people who does not like meta…

And There are people who loves the meta a lot and does not even think any single card that need to change.

So much diversity…

I think my personal frustration for years has been…

“You MUST play THESE cards and use THESE decks!” or else…

So, we pay for 120 cards (or w/e it is) and we get to use maybe half that.

I opened some packs today and noticed some cool Pally cards that I forgot about, KNOW WHY? WE ARE STILL PLAYING LIBRAM PALADIN FROM 10 YEARS AGO.

I was like, hmm, this could go in a Big Pally deck… then I was like LOLOLOL, yeah, if I want to lose every friggin match due to the META.

TLDR: You can only be so “creative” and “fun” with this game, or like the OP said, we are all basically BOTS playing the decks we are told to.

The Rogue hero card is an utter abomination, and most people with eyes saw this coming the second it was announced. I’m still sad they even thought of printing it. It’s a bit like the Warlock quest, it’s just so unbelievably overtuned you can nerf three different things about it, plus a bunch of support cards, and it’s still playable.

If they take the ‘rarity is not taken into account when nerfing…honest’ approach of nerfing every card around Scabbs I shall…write them a very sternly worded forum post. That will show them.

Brb, gonna go get my head caved in by the 5 billionth Rogue today.

Nothing is stopping you, besides top Legend you can get away playing pretty much what you want.

The meta is crap because Team 5 does not care about balance. Every expansion is a contest to see who can make the most broken, and stupidest cards ever.

I wonder often, if Team 5 will ever be taken to task regarding the pile of feces they have created.
They keep adding to the pike though, so the execs must be happy.

that’s it, you can’t compete with anything you want; the only time “homebrew” decks are good is when they are highlander decks, so you have power cards in it, or variations of meta decks.

If you are looking for a place where to play non competitive archetypes, like taunt warrior, recruit paladin, questline druid… then there is casual.

If any non competitive archetype is good in ladder, it’s more of an exeption than a rule, so don’t waste time by waiting for balance patches or new expansions: go in casual and have fun.
If you don’t like what the opponent is playing, you can concede and start a new game.
I very rarely met meta decks; I saw many times good decks (like highlander ones), but they aren’t meta and they are different each time: there isn’t a popular class or deck, which is great

you can remove librams and paladin won’t play these cards anyway :joy:
or try casual and see that these cards are fun to play even if you don’t get stars when you win :ok_hand:

Every time I try casual the decks are indistinguishable from ladder. Is that not everyone’s experience?

Yeah, they make synergies too strong, and certain cards overtuned and this happens. The delta between netdecks and homebrews win rates widen.

Pretty sure it’s on purpose, so it probably is a model that makes more money or raises engagement metrics.

not for me: after UiS, wild was unplayable, but casual was still fine.
I haven’t played casual since blizzard started the honor event (since you don’t get honor), but I don’t think casual changed in the meantime.

In standard I have a low star bonus, so in either casual or ladder, I always find various decks; therefore I am only playing in ladder when I play standard

That’s been my experience. Same exact decks, doesn’t matter if it’s ladder or casual.

Welcome to Classic. It’s diverse in here.

Priest needs buff… then i agree.

A nerf would happen weeks ago if it was mage.

Tbh there is so little they can actually do , nerf this , buff that , yet players (in general) with just use/adjust to what’s best and not bother with anything else most of the time .

Like every archtype could be at a 10% difference in winrate , yet some would still feel the need to complain and some would just roll with whats at the top …

I agree the top 1 k legend meta is different then legend and d 1 to 4

Yeah I got tired of feeling this way and just quit Standard HS until the meta is playable then I play until it’s trash again.

Been enjoying casual Arena’s but not much else so I’ve played other games.
