Shouldnt we get a counter?

I dont hate many things in live. Well thats not true at all… but for this post it sounded good. On with it… i really really hate Secrets, from my point of view. It would be a better game with out.
But now when they need to be here. Shouldnt we get some personalised counters the classes there dont have secrets ? I know there are a few neutral cards there can counter.

But there keeps coming more and more secrets and not more and more ways to counter them. So ill would like a Warlock card there says. For the rest of the game secrets can be tricked. And it shouldnt cost anything. Like 0 or 1 mana. All classes except warlock have for the rest of the game cards. We couldn’t get the dobbelt deathrattle for the rest of the game card. So ill settled with a card like that.
Or even better make me a card there says. As long as Hearthstone is running. Secrets can be trickered. Like a card i only need to drop in one game once. And it would do its magic, as long i play. Giggles asite. Gimme some more counters to those secrets. Class specifik could be cool.

They just exist in Wild.

There’s literally 1 deck in standard that runs Secrets.

Yeah…what you want is an instant “I win” button for free that immediately counters 1 deck in Standard.

Sounds completely fair.

If you are talking about Standard, then where’s Druid’s? Hunter’s? Mage’s? Rogue’s?

What you are asking for is unreasonable because this isn’t a Secret Meta. Paladin doesn’t have any, Rogue doesn’t have any, and Mage doesn’t have a package that works. It’s literally only Hunter right now and you want that one specific deck in one specific class nuked.

What you want is unfair.

I’ve read it twice and I have no clue what’s the Feature Request of the OP.

The word unfair, dont applies in this game.
I am talking about wild yes.
You show the lacky card. I have forgot about that. Maby because, how terrible it is versus the dobbelt battlecry for the rest of the game. Or shadow priests there reset there hero power over and over for the rest of the game. Or mages hero power making 4-8-10 dmg. Ohh… you mention unfair put that lacky card up agianst any other classes (rest of the game card)
It would not be unfair to hvae counter cards to secret. The secret is unfair in the first place. Counter this and that. Put a 3 cost secret out there, thar counters 10 cost minion or spells. Yes yes that is truly fair. They could also just made a ban option like LOL. Where you could ban one class you dont like. Then i wouldnt have to play against those mages again. Is that also unfair ?

I shouldnt cost 0 or 1 mana i agreed. And that was in jizt. Maby i wasnt clear in my joke there. But 3 mana could be good viable.
As i said they could just remove secrets. Would make the game way more enjoyable.

This is just ridiculous then because secret counters exist there. Your whole post is moot.

TLDR

But I also hate secrets. They are not interactive or skill testing, just annoying. I wish they stopped printing them or made them more interesting than: ‘whenever your opponent does literally who knows what, screw them’

The secret hunter is pretty good in standard btw today.

There are a couple of neutral counters yes. I also mention that. And not very good once at that. Not class specific. As my hole post was about. The classes with out secrets should get some specific secret counters. And some strong once. So narrh ill moot u :wink:

And i add… they keep making new once. And not new counters. Soo… and you cand only have that many nuetral counters while, they can pump up there decks with secrets. So you can maby counter 20 %

Either more, ill take it, when you dont replied to the rest of the game cards that you agreed, that warlocks are lackey-ing in that area. :sweat_smile:

You counter the secrets by wasting some mana. E.g. a typical defense that is good is to just play a coin. If it hits a Counterspell or similar secret you basically won because the secret-eer wasted more mana than you. It depends on the tuning though.

E.g. secret hunter is pretty strong if it always has 2 or 3 secrets up.

If mid-game it has 3 or 5 secrets up chances are good for it.

I know there are play arounds. With the coin and having throw out cards. People are smart and find some way around it. But taking 2-5 cards out of your 30 to throw out. In chance that you may got lucky to counter a secret. Is not viable. And on the term of the early comment about fairness. Not fair at all. Secret are a very bad stain on this game. And the other classes should get strong counter option. Like for the next tre rounds secrets cant tricker or something like that. I can only make suggestions and noise, that is in fact what thease forums is about isnt it ?

If the secrets didn’t waste resources of the opponent then they would be useless, and nobody would play them. This is more of a psychological issue and not so much an actual gameplay imbalance (similar to people feeling bad losing to a Quasar deck).

I reality it’s a tuning issue. If the win rates are tuned then anything extra you can do is to just remove them from the game.

You like Secrets, and I cleary dont.
I think i have made my opinion clear.
And i hope i spark and idea in a developer. How unlikely that may be.

I’m also annoyed by them, unless I play them, but it’s a subjective matter if it’s good or bad.

The most objective thing you can do, is to at least balance the win rates of decks.

The counter to secrets is learning how to play around them. This used to be a skill you learned early on and in Arena. The cards that destroyed secrets back then weren’t really played unless it was Flare(Which doubled as card draw for Hunter).
