Should i just craft full Control Warlock or is my budget version OK?

I’d decided to stop making threads and simply go “Half-measures”, so i went for a Control Warlock deck that doesn’t use Tamsim, Malicia nor Y’shaarj - And surprisingly, it works kinda well.
Though, i have a lot of issues in match-ups against Libram Paladins, Demon Hunters and (Specially) Rush Warriors.
That being the case, should i craft the “Default Deck” or perhaps the solution to my bad match-ups lies elsewhere?

That’s the deck I’m using, BTW:

2x (1) Armor Vendor
1x (1) Demonic Studies
2x (1) Spirit Jailer
2x (2) Drain Soul
2x (2) Soul Shear
2x (3) Death’s Head Cultist
1x (3) Hysteria
2x (3) Luckysoul Hoarder
2x (3) School Spirits
2x (4) Cascading Disaster
2x (5) Ogremancer
1x (5) Siphon Soul
1x (5) Taelan Fordring
1x (5) Void Drinker
1x (6) Tickatus
2x (7) Strongman
2x (8) Twisting Nether
1x (9) Alexstrasza the Life-Binder
1x (9) Lord Jaraxxus

You don’t have any win cons. That suffice for an answer? I’d at least use Jaraxxus.

Jaraxxus wouldn’t help much against Rush Warriors or Demon Hunters though.

I DO have Jaraxxus, for some reason HSREplay didn’t copied him, i edited the post.

This is not bad.

Try to get Tamsin or Yshar if you can. They can really make a difference.
Malicia is not that special. Ignoring her is a good choice for myself as well.

You got too many ways to earn soul shards, so replace 2x soul shear for 2x venomous scorpid. Or trade one for another hysteria.
And lose 1 demonic studies for 1 animated broomstick. It goes well with Jaraxs hero power.

It might seem like a “Suffering from Success” claim, but usually having two hysteria made one of them sit on my hand a lot and not be played. Soul Shear is because of aggro decks.
Animated Broomstick doesn’t seem bad, but it seems a bit… “Win-more”, because if I’m already Jaraxxus and hero-powering, I’m usually already winning, anyway.

In my exp using the soul package w/o Malicia is bad, I drop tick long ago(he is in wild), in st he is only good against priest. I use Rustwix, felosophy(to either copy the taunt, rustwix or the 4/3 minion that deal 2 damage to the boad depending on the match) and one raise dead in between…

You can still get soul shear via scorpid.
Trust me. That common card is too good to pass on.

How do I do a screenshot in this game. Just had a warlock concede on me on turn 1, was so funny. In standard as well.

I think Y’Shaarj is a little overrated except against the mirror.

Malicia is good, she corrupts Tickatus and a board full of 3/3s with Rush can be a problem for your opponent to deal with. Though other times, it just gets answered. So I wouldn’t say it’s completely necessary.

Otherwise the deck looks mostly fine. Scorpids are good in this deck. I was also trying Free Admission for more card draw, and Fire Breather.

Silas is an excellent replacement for Soulciologist if you just need a corrupter. Stealing a pally’s librams has earned me several “your opponent has left the game” lol

Looks decent. Malicia is great and synergies well will all soup fragments so I’d include her.

I have Voljin in my list… And he can be really good fo bouncing back an annoying minion or even bouncing back Alex to your hand to replay.

I also run 2 Mo’args for double healing. Works grata against hunter which is a bad match up yet I have over a 70% win rate agaijst face hunter.

You can do without ysjaar malicia (though malicia is kinda good, its more a removal card then a value card) and all the other heavy cards. Jaraxxus should be enough against other control decks (though right now there are virtually no other control decks) and by not including those cards you could make the deck better against agro. Its only against other warlocks that you will fall short.
