The chance that you’ll open the right merc via pack is crazy low, so craft ASAP, another reason to craft is when you have the merc in your team you can farm that merc’s coins faster.
P/s: i craft ton of mercs (Just by farm the map that give their coin, only 3 left from a full collection, F2P ofc)
Yes, you get more coins for those mercs once you’ve crafted them. They’ll be kind of crap for a while but you just honestly are constantly showered with coins between PvP and tasks and bounties.
That is known, maxing a merc costs 2275-2700 coins depending on their equipment, with those that have level 2, 3 or 4 equipment needing less. But just having a merc in a party means you’ll sometimes get their coins for completing any bounty. Which is more than you’d get if you didn’t have them at all.
The 500 coins needed to craft a Legendary is only around 1/5th of the total coins needed to max them out (again, depending on their equipment’s starting levels). You still need to grind a ton of coins.
You get Anduin coins for Felwood six which is pretty easy to farm even on heroic. I’ve been doing a fair bit of grinding and am pretty close to maxing Anduin, though I did open him in a pack so that put me ahead some.
Also, I only started grinding Felwood six after the air elemental nerf, and often retire before fighting the boss - so someone actually grinding the boss fight could probably have maxed out Anduin by now even without opening him in a pack.
It’s okay. It will take months before Alexstrasza and Illidan become actually useful, and considering that they are both sitting on a thousand coins (which is about 1/3 of what they need to be maxed) after 2 weeks of tedious pre-nerf grind, over 50 opened packs, and almost 500 completed tasks, I will rather wait. But if you want a certain leggo, go ahead and craft it, I did it for Diablo and it was worth it, I would say.
This is a mistake actually I think - you ironically should prefer crafting the legendaries that you don’t want, because then you have a greater chance of opening a good legendary from packs, giving you a head start on coins for the useable legendaries.
I do understand your logic, but it kind of depends on whether there is a pity timer on legendaries or not. If there isn’t, then the chance of getting a specific legendary is always the same regardless of how many characters you have. I haven’t seen a legendary in my last 15-20 packs or so, so I am inclined to believe that the latter is the case. You could be right though.
I was starting this journey with the logic of saving coins for upgrading but shortly after launch, the free packs dry up and so do your chances of pulling good cards. I would craft the top-tier cards if you have the coins…just my advice.
Hundreds of coins for Lich King plus even more for other mercs plus three packs, (one for each of the final three tasks) is a waste? I think you fundamentally just don’t like Mercs and nothing about it makes you happy so you should stop playing/posting about it. No need for complete negativity.
Also, If you can’t think of enough of a response for the 20 char minimum, your input is worthless.
Dude, it’s a waste of time. The amount of coins you get/the amount of time you spend in unreasonable. Especially after the gutting of mysterious stranger spawn rate. Stop trying to defend a deliberetly made system that pushes players towards the shop, rather than playing the game. The current MS spawn rate in Winterspring is 1/5. The entire coin based progression is a waste of time.
