What deck are you running. Zoo can snowball out of control if you don’t have enough defense in the early game or a way to balance out from their early game.
Zoo is the easiest deck to counter, even treant druid is harder to counter than zoo.
“even” the current top deck in the game? No kidding.
But yeah, zoo feels “just right”. Strong, but not oppressive so.
If your deck has like sub 40% winrate against that deck - sure
Actually, Zoo is one of the counters to Treant Druid. So maybe that’s what the OP plays.
Zoo is strong, but its easily counterable, against it its more a question of if u have the counter in hand or not.
What?
The thing you quoted has nothing to do with zoo.
It was a call-out that Token druid is atm the n2 deck in winrate in ladder, so saying stuff like “even token is harder to counter” was laughable.
As for zoo, I already said my stance:
Strong but not oppressive. Aka: a good deck, no need for nerfs.
A weaker deck is less susceptible to counter than zoo itself, Being tier 1 or 2 has nothing to do with it, its strong because of its tools not because its not counterable.
That’s just a non argument.
What you are saying is “a strong deck has strong cards”.
Like… Duh?
Token druid is strong because it has strong cards. Those cards also have less counters exactly because they are strong.
Zoo is a strong deck as well, but just not as strong. One of the reasons it isn’t as strong is that its cards are more easily counterable aka weaker.
I still can’t see what your argument is.
Your point is that just because a deck is tier 1 it means is less counterable, while in reality its exactly the opposite.
Shaman was tier 1 in the beggining of the expansion and still it was heavily countered.
No, that was never my point.
A tier 1 deck means that even its counters aren’t enough to contain it. Win against it? Sure, but not contain.
A deck can’t be simultaneously both T1 AND have extremely strong counters. When that happens, those counters rise in popularity and knock the deck lower in “overall winrate” (which is what a tier represents)
My point was that:
“even token druid is harder to blahblah” falsely tries to portray token druid as a mediocre deck.
That would be true if hearthstone wasnt a big rock paper scissors game, with the rise of shaman, pirate warrior started to climb and due to the shaman meta u have more pirates, In gadgetzan u had the old version of PW versus old Reno mage, and reno mage countered pirate warrior as a tier 1 deck, so yes, u can have strong counters and still be a tier 1.
Token is not a mediocre deck but is certainly less likely to be countered than Zoo.
Quest Res Priest can counter token and zoolock fairly well. If you can survive to turn 8 then Batterhead effectively becomes another board clear. Mass Dispel can also help if timed right.
Sure, you can do whatever you want. Yes, the zoolock players will laugh at you if you concede, but that’s it, that’s all they’re going to do. Nothing more, nothing less.
I am 21:7 with it, playing it to rank 5. And i started 2:4. Its not that bad and easy to counter.
Idk, the current treat decks are faster and pack more longevity. It’s very close , with a slight edge to zoo, I’d imagine.
Meh
For the daily I have to play 12 dragons. My Opponent? Rogue
Rogue drops
Pharaoh Cat - shocker
Drops Micro Mummy
Coins Drops Evil Miscreant - totally amazed this card dropped, so unusual
Plays Ethereal Lackey and SI Agent. SI AGENT!? Why they never sutomatically have that card!
Drops Shield of Galakrond, the new Tarcreeper automatic early taunt defender. Tie to SMORC!
Shadowsteps SI agent finishes SMORC’ing got 3 of 12 dragons played.
Have to snooze through a few more of ho hum, so exciting to do the dailies for these decks…
But yes, the game is very rock paper scissors wasting your time for the outcome when its pretty determined at matchup.
Sure it can–if the counters are weak against enough of the rest of the meta.
Give me a deck that’s really strong against Zoolock, and really weak against everything else, and I have to ask myself “How many people are playing Zoolock, anyway?”
Should I be auto-conceding to Zoo Warlock?
If your deck stinks.
