Shop Issue - Mini-Set - Path of Arthas - Not as advertised

The miniset promises a group of cards that combine with cards “…that are not obtainable in packs and that combine with Core Set cards to create three Death Knight decks.”

The decks are no longer available with the pack. Additionally two of the three legendaries that come in the pack are now part of the Core Set so you effectively get 1 legendary.

Of course I would love if the cards removed from core were added to the set to complete the decks as advertised, but at a minimum the promise of complete decks needs removed.

If possible I’d like a refund of my Path of Arthas if I will no longer have access to the product as advertised including the use of the three decks.

You could try that. You’d want to bring this up to support. Blizzard doesn’t really answer here very often and has never, to my knowledge, issued any kind of refund based on a forum post.

You and I both know that they are referring to 3 specific deck lists in that description but the wording is so vague as to still technically be true. You could still use Core cards to create three Death Knight decks.

Bumping this for visibility because this needs to be addressed. I still do not see it in the list of known issues.

I would not hold my breath for that. If they acknowledged it publicly, everyone would likely want a refund. They may stealth change the description at some point

That’s fine. My lack of proper responses here and to my more formal ticket means I’m submitting a BBB and executive complaint.

after looking at the path of arthas set in the shop, you can still make every single deck that it claims you can make

you are only buying the cards in the set, you are not buying the decks

The three deck lists are clearly marked in the shop.

It does not say “combine with core set cards and dust crafted cards.” In fact when hovering over the cards it explicitly states they cannot be crafted.

The product advertised 3 specific decks are playable with core cards and bundle only cards. This is not true.
The product advertises that cards are not craftable that are craftable. This is also not true.

I really don’t know how to make it more clear than that.

This is a product that promises things and phrases things that are no longer true.

I am asking for phrasing of the product to be updated or removed. Idk what’s unclear about that.

If someone purchased that bundle they simply would not have access to the three advertised decks by combinging with the “Core Set” which is what is stated in the bundle. The bundle needs updated. I’m sorry if you somehow cannot understand that. Good luck out there. My complaints are already issued, so I no longer have need of your input as Blizzard will be able to respond on their own through the BBB.

I would say that statement is incomplete, but it isn’t wrong.

Does “combine X with Y to make Z” mean that X and Y are the ONLY ingredients needed to make Z?

Or does it mean that X and Y are SOME of the ingredients needed, but you may ALSO need other ingredients?

Can I combine cheese with a bun to create a cheeseburger? Yes, if I ALSO have a beef patty.

It’s clear based on the wording and the package that the intent is for you to be able to play those three decks with the purchase of the set. BBB is not a legal method of action. BBB is a non-profit business rating organization that helps set standards for how businesses behave.

i think you’re right wersand they should change the path of arthas to include the legendaries and other cards that rotated out of core that were in the decks that were advertised as makeable with path of arthas.

I’d like to add that The Path of Arthas set is on the shop grouped with the standard mini-sets, and not with the year of the Hydra mini-sets, or the other wild mini-sets, clearly separated below.

So I’ve been tricked to buy cards I’m not gonna be able to use, since I only play standard. And since it was bought with gold, it is non-refundable… Blizzard is doing some pretty dirty sales tactics with this product

Bumping this on top of LeoKurtz reply. This has been escalated once to the BBB, but I input through Activision instead of Blizzard.

Per a ticket I received from a GM who asked for ‘more time’ they communicated the issue internally and I expect something to show up in an upcoming patch note. I will give the company 2-3 weeks to either reply here or post publicly that they are working on the issue. If they don’t I plan on opening the BBB ticket under the correct company this time.

I have a similar issue too where it is shown as purchased for me but I do not have the cards from the set

Hola, estoy teniendo el mimo problema, compre el mini set camino de arthas y faltaron muchas cartas q no me dieron por la compra de 2000 de oro, por ejemplo remendejo no esta, lord tuétano tampoco y tampoco me dieron las comunes o raras o épicas, solo me dieron una sola legendaria del set de escarcha pero de profano nada y de sangre tampoco, la verdad me siento inconforme con esta compra.
