Shifting Scroll Bug

So i logged in to play hearthstone today to get some quests done.

I had the game crash on me twice and both times it happened i had just played a Shifting Scroll on my Mage. I’m ASSUMING it’s a bug of some sort as neither me nor the other player can do anything after it’s happened. I guess all i can do for now is to not use Shifting Sand until whatever is causing this problem is fixed.

You assume correctly. This is in the known issues list at the top of this forum:

• Triggering a secret that was created from another card can cause the client to freeze (Chameleos, Shifting Scroll).

When that happens, you can force-quit the game (Alt+F4 in Windows) and restart it to return to the game in progress. There is a small chance that it won’t work, as reconnecting to single-player adventure games is a new feature, but worth a shot.
