It’s apparent the Blizz motive is to saturate their business model with micro-transactions. They bet that deck imbalance would be so severe that people would buy their way out of it. Unfortunately for the trash project manager in charge of that thinking the world no longer pisses cash into its problems and adoption of younger, new players is disastrously contained to affluent members who are, in all reality, an increasingly small minority. I would be terrified for my position if I was responsible for this nightmare. They absolutely shot themselves in the foot. It will take years to recreate the magic of this game assuming that their once-amazing install base even gives a damn. Magic the Gathering is amazing and despite my investment in my existing card catalog, I’d rather have a game-to-game balance than this trash experience. Good God.
