How can blizzard sit and allow the shaman to just kill meta like Paladin I mean do they like losing players. No one wants a play at the moment because they no interaction in the game at the moment it rushes to the face of doom hammer it worst than face hunter.
how broken is it???
Unless you pull your weapon remove before doom hammer it gg and shaman can pull thier weapon easy with a card like Cagematch Custodian.
one of iksars favorite decks is secret mage in wild. i think the broad was the only person who cared about keeping the game interactive. people now refer to " solitaire" as a architype now. this is probably not a good thing and it why blizzard in the past discouraged their devs from talking to the community. learning that the devs enjoy playing non interactive decks, IMO explains a lot why the game has been going down hill.

I fully expect doom hammer shaman to disappear almost completely with the new set. A 3/4 ooze you can redraw for 1 mana is just the sort of tech people have been looking for.
theres broken and non broken, nothing in between.
that’s not true, something is broken but i can still use it, its only kind of broken. like if the door handle on the inside my car dont work but the handle on the outside work, the car door is only kind of broken.
it is fun smacking people for 20 dmg in one turn though and then 10 on the next
You very rarely see the DoomHammer version, and all the statistics point towards Elemental being the stronger deck aswell. Sooo, probably complaining about the wrong thing buddy.
And saying that I don’t even mind how Elemental Shaman plays out right now, I feel like if I try and fight for the board they have to try and fight back rather than just throwing everything into the face.
The elemental shaman package that runs Doom Hammer, at diamond to legend, currently has a less than 50% winrate against:
Big Demon Hunter
Deathrattle Demon Unter
Spell Druid
Face Hunter (43%!)
Secret Libram Pally
Rush Warrior
And it’s hovering around 50 with several more. This is by no means broken or overpowered as its currently unfavored against the top meta decks (face hunter, rush warrior, spell druid).
The more I play the less I think blizzard is the problem when it comes to a toxic meta. The players are the problem ! If ppl would start to actually play the game instead of spamming netdecks everything would be fine. From what I see, card design doesn’t matter when 90% of the player base is gonna play the top decks regardless of what it is.
they are not nerfing it probably because of new expansion. Once rustrot viper is there, more players will use this tech card against weapon classes.
Exactly ! Just wanted to add that I find it lazy to make shaman relevant by boosting weapon play just after the rotation of Kobold Stickyfinger
Where do you see a comparison for your analogy in Hearthstone at the moment?
Is there a deck that’s “kind of broken”?
Not that I think Shaman is as broken as some here claim, and it won’t stay that way past the new expansion I don’t believe.
What would you expect them to play? Players use what wins. That isn’t going to change.
That’s why there is no easy fix for the problem. Off the top, I’d say it would be better if the dominant classes had more then one top tier achetype. That way, the ladder would feel more divers (and people netdecking would have more options for a given class).
When you look at it, most classes already have good packages that wouldn’t need much work to become relevant. Freeze mage is a good exemple.
This is truly the problem. It would be cool if a miracle hunter and a big hunter worked so it wasn’t just face hunter after face hunter. It was nice when I legit did not know if it was face or highlander hunter until a few turns in.
Which class really has a diverse group of legitimate decks right now in standard? I guess maybe Warrior with rush and control? The Shaman decks are all slight variations of the same. I guess there are multiple Druid decks, but it’s really spell or bust.
We’re also only into the first expansion of this year, so the card pool is a lot lower right now. More viable ladder decks will hopefully appear as we get more cards throughout the year. You don’t need multiple tier 1 decks for each class though, it’s more than easy enough to climb even to legend with a lower-tier or even off-meta decks.
My point is about making the meta game more divers. Future expensions are useful if they support new archetypes and not make the current top tier deck even better. Also, it’s not about winning it’s all about fun, I don’t really care if the ladder is easy or not to climb. If I had to choose, I’d rather have a really hard ladder to climb then a cake walk to legend.
