Shadowstepped denathrius bug?

Lost 3 games so far to new thief rogue because shadowstepped denathrius keeps the infuse. This can’t be intended interaction, right?

Sadly this is how its supposed to work, if you return an infused minion or shuffle it in your deck it stays infused so sire keeps all his extra damage

Its the same as if you did it with a corrupted card, it becomes a “new card”

Alright, well thats another reason to make me stop playing this game for a long while. Im just burned out and feel no reason to push for legend this month. Playing “fun” decks just results in me getting stomped by denathrius druids and rogues now too. Good luck people

consistent mechanics? weird reason

Last time i checked shadowstepped minions did not keep their buffs and deathrattles.
How does infuse status make sense then and is a “Consistent mechanic”?

Infuse is not a buff it’s a card transformation. (Just like corrupt was)

Every step of Denathrius is a different card.

Like, if you had a 12 damage Denathrius on board, and a 13 damage one in hand, priest whirlpool would not delete the 13 damage one, because only a 12 damage Denathrius died.

It makes more sense with the other infuse cards that only have 2 forms… But Denathrius basically has an infinite transformation effect in hand.

Because infused cards transform into new ones.
Anyway, no need to bother with that. Have a good break! I’m sure it will be good for you! Cheers!

Thats the exact reason I started adding Brewmaster to my Sire / Infusion Leggo decks.

Xymox is particularly evil to use this with.

riiiight!! thats a good idea and in that deck brewmaster will cost 0 quite often
i cant believe i didnt think about it and im running the quest in some relic decks just to get the discount from the first 2 steps

Unfortunately it is intended.

I fully understand Denathrius keeping buffs (it’s unnecessary, but I understand), but Whirlpool only deleting a very specific Infused version is just WTF. Same name = same card.

Yeah, you basically have to pretend that each step of Denathrius is called “Denathrius 5,” “Denathrius 6,” etc…

The harvester of envy will also not steal a Denathrius if the infusion count isn’t synced. It’s all a result of the different infuse levels being designed as different cards.

Warsong wrangler will also not buff an infused Gargon in hand if you draw the other uninfused one.

On that note, I just got destroyed by a Druid in Wild using Professor after playing Denathrius; Professor keeps however much infuse Denathrius has.
