When Glugg the Gulper has a 2/2 tail on the board and Serenity is played by the opponent, Glugg gains the tail’s attack. Serenity reads as though Glugg should gain no attack
Glugg gains the friendly minion’s original stats, not its current stats.
So in this case, Glugg gains +2/+2 because those were the Tail’s stats when it was originally summoned.
