People said it would still be played but in the games I’ve seen rogue play it, it seemed incredibly weak.
I guess being as broken as it was just means the card is unplayable after 1 nerf.
Pretty stoked about that.
1 Card less is massive. Good riddance too.
I’m sorry but people ‘still playing it’ doesn’t mean it’s good.
Only super broken cards are ‘good’, strong cards are just mediocre.
I haven’t played today but I find it very unlikely for passage to be dead.
Rogues will keep playing it until it’s nerfed a second time.

passage is fine i doubt it sees another nerf.

It’s been 12 hours, and people always abandon nerfed cards at first. Let’s wait and see before we declare Rogue to be dead.

Not sure what you are talking about, I’ve been slamming people with cards pulled from Passage all day since the nerf.

Evocation from Wand Thief… Use Evocation with near empty hand, use Secret Passage… keep all mage spells
Seems pretty unfair to me, other than that cheap move… idk if it’s busted too much
that would work consistently if the 1 mana spells pool was way more small than it really is
Im more curious about darkglare
No idea how it can be dead … Its still doing what its meant to do = find a 10+ dmg lethal. Maybe OP is using it wrong?

Since that fifth card that “must” have been “that” card that would win them the game didn’t just arrive and let them win, I’d say what OP used wrong is making a new topic rather than go to the salt thread.
Hope you’re right pal, I was just starting to enjoy playing a deck with no rng clown fiesta nonsense or “play the good card” turns.
Secret Passage did not need a nerf.
Rogue requires that added consistency when paladins are tossing more buffs on their minions than Sap can handle, druids pulling out a turn 4 Guardian Animals, zoo making massive boards on turn 3 and onward.
Do the devs realize that rogue has nothing except consistency and draw to battle against these insane power plays?

I have seen some rogues playing secret passage o turn 3. Not sure what they were looking for, but they ended the turn with hero power

Now it’s a 4-star card instead of a 5-star one.
Oh no!!

The horror! Now you have only four more cards to find lethal with, not five! Truly a tragedy for the ages.

“It’s a 1 mana draw 5! Blizz, NURF!!!”
“It’s just an improved tracking for lethal.”
Clap, clap. Man, decks should not be able to finish out games! What we need is global priest mirrors.<
It is so unfair when rogue is able to use 3 cards to get the same effect I spent 1 card on!

It was the only really good card Rogues had this set. Every other class has crazy busted gnc plays. None get nerfed but sure, nerf SP because some salty cartoons never expect to lose.
Meanwhile in the past 20 games I’ve seen Paladins repeatedly crap out a life steal 4/2 weapon and an adjusted 3/3 for 4 mana. Or 8 health+ 8/8 taunts with divine shield for 5 mana. Two druids had GAs out at turn 5. Just a few games ago, I ran into a hunter of all things that had 10/10 worth of stats on turn 4. Nothing in hand to pump the brakes.
Those kinds of busted, consistent plays are infecting the entire meta and Blizzard continues to tunnel vision Rogues. Demon hunter was sonning the meta tier0 style and the best Blizzard could do was drop an IV of micro nerfs that left us at their mercy for a whole expansion. Huntards were breaking the meta before that for months…no nerfs at all.
Rogues have a tier 2 deck? Nerf Galakrond. Tier 1 deck? Nerf SP.
At least be more subtle Blizzard.

Yeah pretty much all I’ve seen, desperation secret passages with nothing to play lol.
I tend to win all of these type of games.
That’s because Rogues lack those fancy busted cards that other classes are allowed to have. Most non-Rogues don’t realize that dropping an 8/8 on turn 5 is a huge problem for Rogues. No heal. No sustain. Stat inefficient minions. Almost no removal. No aoe.
All they have is gonzo card plays and draw. And Blizzard takes that away.

Correction, a single 8/8 is not an issue for rogue. It’s dropping two of those that becomes an issue. Add to that the ability to beef your medium-sized minions to 12/12 monsters, and rogue does not have the tools to deal with that.
