Searching collection doesn't work

I’ve been having this problem for a little over a year now so I figured I’d bring it to the community to see if anyone would be able to help me : )

When I first launch the game and head into my collection (to admire my golden Chos) I notice that the search bar for my collection appears at the bottom of the screen (next to the mana filters). If I type in to this box to search and hit enter the box then moves to the top of my screen (on the collection page) and my collection may or may not filter (today it worked, last night it did not).

Hitting the “x” inside the search box to clear the line will move the search box to the opposite position:
~if the search box appeared on the collection page it moves to the bottom of the screen next to the mana values
~if it is at the bottom of the screen it moves to the top onto the collection page

This becomes a game of chase with me going back and forth to try to type into this search box. And I’m sometimes able to filter my collection once I hit the “x” enough times where it ends up at the top of my screen but I can’t figure out when it does and doesn’t work. Usually if I want to search my collection again I need to hit the x and send the box to the bottom, then hit the x again to send it to the top, then search again. And that only works some of the time.

The last thing I noticed was that sometimes when searching in one of these boxes (usually the bottom one) when I hit enter I get red text that says “use the friends menu to start a conversation with your friends” or it will pull up a conversation with a friend I was previously chatting with.

I’m not sure if there’s a solution to this (or if anyone else is even experiencing a similar issue) but it makes it very difficult to filter my collection of 99+ golden Chos. Any feedback would be appreciated

This might be a specific issue, see this thread and the video on it to see if it’s the same as yours: Card Search Glitch

The above one is for windows on a Microsoft surface.

If you are not using a Microsoft surface, what device are you playing hearthstone on that you encounter this?

Is it a mobile device or a computer?

If mobile, what model phone/tablet?

If a computer, what operating system version and if you have any special touch screen inputs?

Oh my god thank you! The instructions in that thread worked perfectly! For future reference, this is what I have:

Lenovo Yoga 910 (it has touch screen) running on Windows 8
