The year of the dragon is almost over and Whizbang will be rotated out!
But I see no reason to, he only has standard premade decks.

Although i guess they wont cause they ll go for something.
Anyone remember Zayle, shadow cloak? I ve read somewhere in the past (like about 8 months ago) that shes about to get new decks with the new year.
So i guess that this is what they re going for, Zayle like cards that ll give premade decks, which is why they ll sent whizbang in the wild.

Honestly, they should move him to classic, make him available for 2-3k gold and just give him away for free the first time a player spends $10+ on the game.
New players have something to grind for, Blizzard gets a new “hook” to get new players in. Win-Win, IMO

I don’t play standard much but I can get behind this, it gives new players a chance at some fun with slightly less optimized versions of meta decks without too much investment.

I’d support this idea.
Crafting is very cost ineffective, particularly for a card you wind up not using or liking. Having a card that allows you to “test” cards (decks) prior to crafting could be valuable to players with limited resources.
There’s only so much you can glean from watching streamers.

Adding him to Classic would be great.
Or another option: add him to the Basic set. For example, getting all nine classes to level 20 could give the non-golden version of Whizbang, and getting all classes to level 60 could give the golden version. This would allow him to remain permanently in Standard (just like shifting him to Classic would) and would make him fairly easily available to all players. (There might be a need to work out how to deal with players who already own Whizbang when the shift happens, which could be similar to what happens when cards are added to the HoF.)

he should be free for just downloading the game, and instead of random premade decks, he should just copy one of the highest performing decks in each class.

Now why would Blizzard do that when they can just make a new version of this card and force people to spend resources and maybe even real money like they did with Shadow Cloak. Moving wild card to standard mean no one needs to spend any resources. Making a new card that is functionally identical people will need to spend resources.

I completely and emphatically agree. Whizbang should be a special card that is awarded to anyone who buys the welcome bundle.
It allows new players to experience different decks and hero’s without a huge investment.
It is not offering them top tier decks.
It’s not used competitively.
It’s the perfect card for new players getting into the game.

Wizbang for classic, it shows off all the archetypes that the past few expansions have been building towards and gives new players a chance to play around with deck types before investing dust.
