I was just recently playing a tavern brawl, warlock against warlock. I somehow ended up sneaking the titan Sargeras, the Destroyer, into play. I thought it would be good to start with To the Void! Nothing happened. The minions of my opponent and I remain in play. On my following turn, I try Inferno! I have room for minions, but again, nothing happens. No infernals for me.
Sargeras battlecry needs to be triggered so the portal can appear.
He has to be put on the field from your hand. If he is summoned from the deck or put into play any other way then Sargeras abilities do nothing because there is no portal.
