Rogue's in standard seem crazy weak.. Help

So iv’e been wanting to play some rogue but man what is any good?
The only rogue deck ive seen have any brief success is weapon rogue. That deck however had alot of bad matchups that would see it auto lose against anything that played a board/taught minions. So very gimmicky…

Secret rogue is one of the most laughable thing’s ive seen. You get very few matchups that you have any chance of winning.

Other then that, ive seen crappy agro rouges at lower ranks that are pretty much free wins if you have any anti agro cards at all.

Ive yet to see any rogue’s pull agame off of me, and i use a wide variety of non meta decks.

it’s looken pretty grim for them.
I mean Weapon rogue can get its free wins and losses but that’s about all it appears one can hope for…

I’ve seen exactly 3 rogues in over a week. It’s disgusting how bad standard is with deck varieties. All i’m seeing is nominionmages and warlocks. Playing against the same classes over and over again is legitimately getting me tired of playing HS overall.

Rogue is one of the best decks rn… Never runs out of cards and has enough burst to take you out from 20 health late game even after spamming the board.

I’ve been doing really, really well with miracle rogue. 15-10 (60%)

Every good deck Right now, seems to have a reasonable way to burst you down/Heal face damage.
The two decks that everyone appears to build against are Mage and warlock. Face damage and healing are the only two ways to beat these decks. The REALY good decks are ones that can do both.
Issue’s that i see
1 ) Rogue’s can’t heal themselves effectively, 30 health is joke these days.
2) It can’t burst without alot of set up time and otherwise bad cards.
3) It has a bad time against both combo and agro decks and struggles against any non warlock control as those run alot of face damage to counter warlocks.
4) Both priest and Druids are Value oriented right now. They look to be as greedy as possible, you can never out value them, and there few anti agro cards are more then enough for most Rogue types.

The issue i see every Rogue have is they just can’t do anything meaningful out side of Weapon burst and card draw, But there health total and lack of healing/armor makes them irrelevant regardless of those two strengths.
the only sort of unfair thing they can do is Weapon burst.
We are in a meta were the meta is to be as unfair as possible.

These are just my anecdotal thought’s. I would like to be proven wrong but right now, I just can not see any other world and feel as tho my reasoning is strong.

Mage and Warlock? I think you’re either miscalculating or in Wild. Try using Miracle Rogue, it may not have healing but doesn’t need it, can burst through a lot with Jandice/Alexstraza when comboed with Tenwu and Shadowstep and even some Mage spells (Wand Thief) when needed and applies constant pressure. It only struggles vs combo if you aren’t sure how to play it and, I don’t know if you checked your list, but… you say 30 health is a joke, but Mage has no healing. I think you can find some other stuff to do. If you really need more help, I think the Grandmasters can provide some good decklists for you.

This assumes you play around ice barrier properly, which you should. I’m undefeated vs. warlocks and mages with my miracle rogue deck (swiped from a GM’s list). Mages you smash ASAP. Warlocks you pressure them and force constant reactivity, then burn them down.

IT’s a tricky deck, though. I can understand losing a lot at first. Every match is different.

Yeah, Ice Barrier, wooo. 16 healing total if they get lucky, costing 3 mana each and only working if you attack face (hint for the OP: Alexstraza’s battlecry isn’t an attack). It is a fun deck and I do agree with you, it takes skill. As for me, I’m missing 3 cards but they’re arguably the best cards for the deck: Jandice and 2 Secret Passage. It still works for me since I can just sub in what I need for my rank, though. It’s certainly fun and challenging to play around with!

Yep. You can test other secrets and then just stop going face once you know it’s ice block. At least until you can do 9+ damage all at once.
