Rogue in tavern brawl is absolutely imbalanced

So, when I first started playing this weeks tavern brawl, I used Even Paladin. It worked well; I went 6/3 but got squashed by a rogue and 2 cubelocks. I constructed a violet wurm/stormwind knight based cubelock and did amazingly, but I got squashed by rogues repeatedly, and in my 3 runs I only reached 8/3 twice and 6/3 once.

Then, I tried rogue. I have basically discovered a loop that grants me gold, dust, cards and packs as long as I use this class. By placing Malygos, Alexstrasza, and a few damage spells, it is possible to OTK people on turn 4, 3, or even 2. Its disgustingly overpowered and amazing. Try it  (its not a glitch, brawl was designed this way).

Unfortunately i do not have maly or faceless. So as i’m sitting there making a wide odd paladin deck, i’m just like “I’m bout to get slammed by maly decks”

And this is why I play decks on the first day. I managed to get in several games before everyone found all the broken combos.

Do you have Spirit of the Shark, Elven Minstrel, Bonemare, Gungalmancer, and things like that?

I’ve been playing Shark Rogue and it’s pretty fun. Dunno that it competes favorably with Maly Rogue, but it seems close, and does reasonably well in the Brawl.

Just don’t make my mistakes. I put in too many board wipes (couple dragons might be plenty) and not enough draw my first time. The 4-mana treasure chest and some cantrips (e.g., Novice Engineer) are essential. Giggling Inventor may also be good; haven’t tried it personally, but it’s possible that it’s better than the 8-mana Wyrm I’ve been playing.

I’m running a ramped up pogo hopper deck. Crazed Chemists, bonemares, fungalmancers.

I think rogue with no spells besides shadowstep is best. The spells are a horrible draw and mulligan unless you can directly otk with them. Kidnapper i also do not like and even vilespine i am not sure about. The dragon aoe is also not great imo. Since it all comes down to first few turns i think you have to go all in on threads and draw with no reactive cards at all. Cultmaster is a consideration.

Well mecha’thun warlock is consistent as a clock.

It can compete for real with shark rogue due to it.

Thats interesting idea, will try that one. Can you reliably draw whole deck by turn 6?

I’m already did win at turn 3 but it is normally at 5.

The trick is use no minions except WW piper, hemet jungle hunter and mecha’thun.

Them you also need sense demons, bloodbloom and a singleton cataclism.

The rest is just 3 or less cost spells.

Spirit shark has the highest win rate . Honestly tired of facing rogue nonstop.

Spirit shark is broken in the Tb.

Not saying TB isn’t fun, just that it favors rogue heavily.

Depends on your goal what the best deck is.

Shark Rogue has best win rate but isn’t the best gold farming deck because game speed matters too.

Oh yeah, it seems like most of my opponents are Shark Rogue now. It’s just a bit more consistent then Maly Rogue, I guess.

But luckily, it’s extremely dynamic in the mirror matchup, so it’s still really fun to play.

I don’t know what you are playing, but every single shark rogue I see is also playing maly with it.

Why play just 1 when you can play both? Auctioneer let’s you draw ridiculously fast.

HS devs don’t play their own tavern brawls.

or Hearthstone.

They just probably go back and put in the same coding on a log or something like that just because they can’t be bothered to do their job and make a fun tb

I’m having fun with it. Problem?

Also extreme unbalanced is a little to much. It is probably out of curve but considering that we can’t have time enough to have reliable data i’m prefer to believe my own judgement.

And it is that rogue has his set of weakness like needing a really good mulligan. If you lose tempo with draw you normally lose.
